You didn’t know where Arcadia or Nessa had run off to, and maybe it was for the best that the three of you took some space from each other. You could tell yourself that over and over again but all you wanted was to be by Arcadia’s side with that bitter taste of wine. She was right about that; you had given up on the simplicities of life because you were scared of becoming your mother. You were scared of wasting that protentional all your teachers had saw in you.

What was it all for?

Funny how in the middle of a death match you started to come to terms of what could have been a normal life, getting drunk in the old grain fields with your classmates, going to parties, making mistakes. You could have done it if only you were not too harsh on yourself.
