”Twelve year olds and up only.” A lanky nerdy looking man stands in Georgie’s way of the simulation suites. She scowls at him, pointing at the big number 12 badge that is pinned to her hoodie.

”I am 12 today…pleaseeeee!” She pleads and the guy just huffs, pointing into the direction of the nearest free simulation suite for her to play in. It is all a lie though, Georgie Cham is not twelve today, she is twelve next week. This whole trip is an early birthday present from her Paps, a perfect gift seeing as they’ve been allowed in for free. Perks of being a mayor’s daughter and ’fake relatives’ to a victor. It is fun though, Georgie has never been out of Six before and soon her Paps is going to be so occupied by the election. She has these few days to spend some quality time with him. But where is he right now? Leaving his not quite twelve-year-old daughter in a strange District. Oh well, she is gonna have some fun pretending to be in the Hunger Games!

”Beep beep bop bop bop.” Georgie presses through all of the buttons on the start up menu, not caring to read all of the jargon that flashes up. Those shiny holographic knives floating in the air look cool. Oh, and that spear longer than her looks deadly, she presses that too.

And then whoosh, the whole room flashes blue and green, and those shiny knives appear in her hand. ”What happens now?” She says, looking back at the suite’s door that has been locked shut. Nobody answers but a figure loads in front of her and wields the deadly spear.

”Haha it is Uncle Teddy! Watch out old man, I am about to whoop your ass!” Holographic Uncle Teddy doesn’t look so old though, he looks like the big kids in the big school she is about to go up into. ”THINK FAST!”
