Garnet Beauford // [D8, cbd3]

Garnet was a shy child, or so his family tells him. He didn't speak a word until his fourth birthday when he abruptly recited the Panem national anthem word for word. Since then he speaks when spoken to, as any polite young man would, but rarely more than that. His teachers say he is diligent and meticulous but that they don't really know him that well.

There's few who could say more. His older sister likely knows the most about him, but she reads his journals, so she ought to. That's all he ever asks for: more pages, more pens, more space to draw the thoughts out of his mind.

He never shares what he writes at school or with his small group of friends. The nerds, the other kids call them, even though none of them are the top of the class or in the gifted program. But they just don't fit in anywhere else. And that's what Garnet likes about them.
