You may have noticed several areas on the arena map which are denoted by red text and an 'X'. These areas are Secondary Locations within greater areas. This means that they will not get their own boards, but are located within another board as listed below. In order to access them, each area's corresponding generator must first be fixed. They are:
Mines Exit Generator: Located in the Mines
Tower Generator: Located in the Wintry Forest
Charred Cabin Generator: Located in the Witch's Wood
Bone Pit Generator: Located in the Fold
All of the necessary tools and materials needed to repair the generators will be left in toolboxes nearby from an in-character standpoint. Each generator only needs to be repaired once in order for all tributes to access it, meaning that once someone has successfully restored a given generator, anyone else in that area may have access to the secondary location moving forward for the rest of the games.
In order to restore a generator, a tribute must post in the designated area in a noncombat, nonfleeing post rolling a roll range=1-10 dice below the post. The results for the rolls are as follows:Generator Repair Rolls:
1. Failure to Repair, takes 2 electrocution damage
2. Failure to Repair, takes 2 electrocution damage
3. Failure to Repair
4. Failure to Repair
5. Success
6. Success
7. Success
8. Success
9. Success
10. Success
Each tribute may only attempt to repair a given generator twice per day, meaning if you fail once, you're allowed to reply a second time and try again if you want. Until the generator has been restored, the secondary location will be unavailable to all tributes. Tributes are encouraged to gain access when they can, as each of the secondary locations will also be Scavengeable locations and will have exclusive items which tributes won't be able to access elsewhere in the arena.
If a tribute would like to attempt to break an already-repaired generator, they may also roll once per games day to attempt to do so. The tribute must post in the designated area and roll a roll range=1-5 roll. The results are as follows:Generator Breaking Rolls:
1. Tribute Successfully breaks generator
2. Tribute fails at breaking generator and cuts themself on a corner for +3 damage
3. Tribute fails at breaking the generator
4. Tribute fails at breaking the generator
5. Tribute fails at breaking the generator
If a tribute successfully breaks a generator, it will have to be repaired a second time before anyone can have access to the secondary location again. The same tribute cannot repair and break the same generator in one day.
If you have successfully repaired or broken a generator, please fill out the form below to notify the gamemakers that the secondary location should be activated:[font size="1"][blockquote]username:
