The library is quiet, which shouldn't come me to as a surprise as most would be gathered in the training room below learning the best, merciless, intricate details on how to kill. Truth be told, thats exactly where I should be, but instead I found myself running a finger along the spines of the endless lines of books, eager to pretend that in a matter of days my life would not come to a brutal end. Eager not to think about how it might come to that end. Would I be stabbed in the heart? Would my throat be ripped open? Or maybe I will die from a thousand cuts, painfully, slowly...

Shaking myself my fingers close around the spin of a rather thick book and I quickly skim though the pages my eyes catching on words like heated and hungry. My brows raise as I take a seat, my eyes flicking to the girl on the chair across from me for the briefest moments before my breath catches in my throat. I swallow hard, hoping that the heat that had begun to rise at the base of my throat didn't show on my cheeks. It would seem that I hadn't picked up just any book... No, this was smut.

For a moment I debate swapping it for another book, but I find myself pausing, studying the pages for a moment longer before I spread out on the couch, getting myself more comfortable. Fuck it, if I was gonna die in a few days, might as well enjoy myself before hand.
