On first thought, pissing off the roof of the Training Center had seemed a hell of a novel idea. Bucket list, fuck it list, an item written down hastily in the dead of the night and accomplished as easy as it were written.
On second thought, it was seeming much less fun. Because there'd been a Peacekeeper that'd caught 'em on the way back, man in white with curled fist and empty fury. Now he's walking around the training room with a fat 5001 pressed into his eye, black and purple and blue around the edges, blossoming underneath his skin like flowers in the sun. Skye had spent the morning attempting to cover the black eye, mutterings of deviance and ridiculousness and lost sponsors under her breath. He'd sweated off the majority of it in his most recent stint at the rope climbing station.
On third thought, he is a teenage boy who'd spent his night getting his shit rocked and the morning clinging desperately to ropes that did not want him. Needless to say, he's in a shit mood.
It's why when he finally mopes his way over to the weapons rack he does so with a scowl carved into his face, cursing the world and listening to it curse him back. It's also why, when he finally reaches for the axe and gets met with another tribute reaching for the same, it's all he can manage but to roll his one good eye and wince as the swollen other attempts to follow suit. Venom collects on the tip of his tonuge, "Weapon is taken. Find'a new one." He says bluntly to the shadow of his fellow tribute.
