Vali Forrester stumbles out of the bloodbath with Hal around her shoulder; she can taste the feeling of the snow as the chill echoes through her bones. The cold sets in as she feels blood draining from her body. A shiver sets through her shoulders as she keeps moving for a moment. There's chaos in the wind as she can see the pure white snow as far as her eyes can see. Her voice is tense as she mumbles to Hal; almost caught by the majestic beauty of the arena. "I'll catch up. Go. The snow begs for you. I'll be fine; the snow will protect me." It's a lie, but she wants to comfort him for a moment. Hal and her fates are tied together like the icy cold snow. There's a visible tension to her as she pushes away into the snowy outside of the cabin. There's a chill to the breeze.
Would the other Forresters be watching her? She had no idea if they would even consider her apart of them anymore. Some loved her like a goddess, but others saw her as nothing more than a nuisance. It's a bit of a chill that sets into her as she look around noticing the large lodge they'd just ran from. Almost as if their home has come to life in the arena; the snow as cold as the winters in Seven. The woods surrounding them were alive in the same way Seven's were. Dangerous in some aspects, but she wasn't scared of the cold. The cold was home. The chill was the god's touch on the mortal plane. Her fingers chill into the snow as she stumbles from tree to tree. Fingers glistening over the soft white fluff, almost pulling away just chunks of ice and snowflakes; her hands glistening that cold red color of blood flushing her skin.
It's the sound that soothes her as she looks around. There's nothing much to do, but collect supplies. She notices items scattered about in certain areas, it'll take a bit to find, but she sets to work. The silence of the snow and the tracks of other tributes who've ran fill her vision. The calm after the chaos; there's time to pray, but she's focused. Blood dripping into the snow from her leg where her foot is a mess, but she ignores the pain, the ache of death. She's a mortal for now, but pain couldn't stop her. The bearing of weight over her shoulder, she didn't need to focus on it at all. There's a pause as the wind seems to calm. The shaking of pine needles and the swirl of a chill sounds. There's a pause as she waits. Something is coming. It's quiet and small, but she doesn't react. Instead she speaks with a calm voice out loud.
"Do not fear creature of the woods; I am only looking for things before I leave."
Turning around, she looks towards the strange creature, wondering how it could be alone in this icy chilled land.
