For Day 2 of the 96th Hunger Games, all tribute writers are required to take part in a Tribute Development Day as their mandate. How this will work:
- There is no death mandate today.
- Alliances must still post in order of initiative in the areas listed below, and will be responsible for starting their own threads.
- Each tribute must write at least three (3) posts in these threads.
- For the duration of these threads, tributes cannot make ANY rolls, or collect ANY items. These are mandated posts, not leisure posts.
- After a tribute has written the required three (3) posts in their alliance's thread, they may then leisure post/attempt to fix generators/scavenge/collect items/etc.
- Solo tributes are welcome to write with other alliances in the same areas as them, (or with each other), so long as they have approval from the other alliances and we the GM's are made aware before posting. Solo tributes may also write oneshots in which they will still be required to write three (3) separate posts before moving on to any rolls or leisure posting.
- Tributes who do not post three (3) times by the deadline will take 5 damage for each post they did not write.
- To give alliances who may need a jumping-off point something to work with, small plots have been written into each area listed below so that tributes may incorporate this into their writing if needed.
Mines:
Tributes who dare to enter the Mines will find the absolute stark darkness rather difficult to navigate. Feeling around blindly in the dark, some may notice the cables as thick as human arms snaking along the walls, the dull and lifeless bulbs hanging from the ceiling far above. It is entirely possible that, if allies are not careful, they may quickly lose one another to the twisting, sprawling tunnels down here. And judging from the sounds alone, that wouldn't be a good thing. Perhaps your alliance has been separated, perhaps they are running away from the haunting chittering sounds they can hear from somewhere within, or perhaps they came here seeking shelter from the relentless cold.
- Softbois (Rhys, Jericho, Garnet)
- Wendihoes (Ines, Marguerite)
- Needle in a Lumber Stack (Marceline, Vali, Hal)
- Crass Knuckles (Hugo, Axyl)
- Felicity Carrow
- Lionel Estrada
Wintry Forest:
Tributes who enter the Wintry forest will notice that the constant slight movement of the trees has gone completely still. It is as if the forest is aware of- and interested in hiding from- something walking among it. Perhaps it is the tributes, perhaps it is something greater. The tributes scan the treetops for some clue, but find only the gathering clouds above as a fresh flurry of snow begins to pour down from the gray skies above. The wind picks up. The temperature drops. It feels as if the forest is trying to make the tributes leave. The tributes will find that as the day goes on, this area becomes more and more impossible to navigate.
- The Girls (Rita, Harley)
Witch's Wood:
Those who stay in the Witch's Wood will wake to the smell of wood burning from somewhere deeper in the forest. Those who dare to venture as far as the southern boarder of the arena will find that a wildfire has ignited, burning a level clearing in the shape of a circle just at the boarder's edge. The fire seems to be contained, only burning in selective places. It appears to be ritualistic in nature, and also strangely purposeful. After looking closely, some tributes may even notice the various different sets of footsteps in the ashes below, leading away from the circle. Tributes who choose to follow the steps will find, though, that at some point, very suddenly, each set of tracks suddenly stops with no signs of where the things who made them have gone.
- Cool Kids Corner (Marcellus, Xov, Juno)
- Three of Wolves (Lucky, Gunner, Xylia)
Melting Ice Sheet:
Those who make it to the Melting Ice Sheet will find that the skies open up and, for the first time since arriving in the arena, they can see the sun up above. Listening quietly, they can hear the distant groan of the icy world they live in as it slowly melts into a puddle here in this only area with drinkable water in the arena. At midday, fish make their way to the surface in search of food. Far offshore, tributes may even see whales breaching the surface. It feels strangely calm here, almost as if the tributes were not expected to find this area quite so soon. Tributes may feel inclined to enjoy themselves here, or worry that they've discovered something they shouldn't have. If nothing bad seems to be here yet, how long until it arrives?
- Hotties (Inga, Isolde, Sage)
