"Belcher!" My whisper almost feels like a shout into the darkness and I fight the urge to slap my hand across my mouth to silence the noise. I had no idea what or who else lurked in the darkness, and I had no intentions of luring them in, even if my body was itching for a fight. Or mostly just to feel something other than the constant pain that surged up through my leg and pulsed consistently across my face and behind my eyes. "Bel-"

A warm, heavy, and well muscled body slams into me from behind and I stumble, my knees crumbling, causing them to slam into the rough uneven surface of the ground. My left one screams, broken bones crashing into each other, biting at nerves and sending searing hot pain through me that has me hissing in pain. I glare up over my shoulder silently yelling at him what the fuck? Mouse meets my glare, staring down its not my fault you a fucking mess. My eyes narrow. He clicks his beak.

"I hate you," I mutter, picking myself up as Mouse chuff in disbelief, giving me a look that screams liar. "Personal. Space." I say to him through clenched teeth as I use the wall as support. "Learn it." This time its Mouse who narrows his eyes before he turns away. "Fucking useless," I mumble under my breath and Mouse growls, whirling on me wings spreading wide. "I was joking you buffoon," I lie. Kind of. I don't know. "Come on, she went this way."

Ahead I hear the clank of metal and the scuffle of boots before a muffled voice slips through the darkness, "ow, this place sucks." Despite myself, I smile at the sound of her voice and begin to pick up my pace.

It doesn't take long for Mouse, Wren Jr. and I to find Felicity in the darkness, her silver blonde hair a beacon almost as bright as Mouse's feather's. "Of course I would find you with a screwdriver and something broken," I say in way of greeting, leaning back against the cavern wall beside Mouse. "I wonder, back in the training center you had no intentions on stabbing me in the dark with the thing... But what about now?" I ask with a raised brow and press a hand against my chest grinning at her slightly, "I much prefer it when my friends stab me in the chest, and not the back."

I pause, my grin growing. "Though my preference would be not to be stabbed in the dark, even by someone as charming as you, Belcher."

The light in here is radiant.

That's the only way Felicity can describe it, with the sun catching on the snowy landscape above. It halted her in her path towards the hunk of machinery between her and the sun, despite the frantic way her brain vibrates at the idea of playing with that generator. It's the first time since they got here that she's seen the suns rays though, and there's something a little magic about the way the droplets of melting snow on the wall drink in the light. It washes the world in pale blue and silver, a winter sky.

Shivering, Felicity gets back to work.

The warped metal side panel on the generator required enough leverage she had to dig the pointy end of her pike under the edge and thrust with most of her body weight, but it came off with an ugly clatter against the stone floor that made her grimace only a second before crouching down and getting her arms up inside the body of the thing. She was just finishing wiping down the cooling system fan so that she could run a quick test when Lionel's familiar voice cut through her focus.

"I'm up to my elbows in this generator's guts and you want to ask me about my intentions?" She lifts her brows at him, not that he'll be able to see her face with the light coming from behind.

Excitement and annoyance tangle together, one fighting for dominance with dogmatism and the other something altogether kinder. Both stir discomfort, and Felicity shifts under herself, pulling her arms out from the metal guts. Nervously, she picks at the sides of her thumbs, feeling the grease building up under her nails.

"Shit, Lionel, I'm just trying to survive." She bites the inside of her cheek, and reaches for the bit of broken glass she'd tossed in the box. "I've played the hero thing, and it got my ass stuck living with people who didn't want to know me. Now I'm here, probably gonna be dead by the end of the week with only Liability No Balls to sit pretty at my funeral and spit on my grave." If she even gets one. If. A big, capital 'i' kind of if.

A memory catches, like a fish cheek on a hook; Felicity knocks on the nearest wooden beam

"So don't call me charming." A pause, maybe even a smile. It's hard to tell in the dim twilight. "I'm endearing. Way different."

It's less a shot in the dark when she throws an extra washer she has towards him, aiming for his stomach. Not really her strong suit, and she loses sight of the thing looking for his eyes, but the message is there.

"So just come here, hold this for me like this," she holds out the bit of broken glass to him by the longer, straighter edge. She'd already nicked herself on the side she was holding once; she didn't need to add more blood to it's edges. Maybe she'd find a way to use some of her rope to attach it to something else later. "See how it reflects the light down there? It'll help me see what I'm doing."

See how I hand you this sharp object? Felicity means to say. See how I bear you my throat?

She means to say, it'd hurt me, too.
