CALLING ALL AMATEUR BAKERS AND
HOME CHEFS! AUDITION SIGN UPS NOW OPEN!
Given the expansion of the trade agreements with other districts, Nine has seen an increase in diverse ingredients across its Capitol-sponsored storefronts. In the hopes patrons have been taking advantage of their newly expanded horizons, the Capitol has challenged anyone willing to claim the title of baker or chef to come down to the District Square and prove whether or not they are worth their salt.
Broadcast from the desk of Mayor Shiv Irvine, Maryn Hale announces that the Capitol has seen fit to reward District Nine with a fully funded, televised baking competition for its citizens! If they can impress a panel of FIVE very carefully selected judges, they'll be invited to continue on next week in the first televised round of the contest.
All contestants are eligible to redeem a cash prize for participation, with the top three placements receiving additional vouchers for redemption at the participating sponsoring storefronts. <3
First place winner receives an additional cash prize, as well as sponsorship to open their own restaurant or bakery of choice! Along with, of course, the promised patronage of Maryn Hale at least once.
The event will likely comprise of 3-4 rounds (mostly depends on the number of participants left each go around!) of dice rolls. Round One will be AUDITION WEEK! From there we will move into subsequent rounds, based on who passes the judges critiques...
gamemaker tallis 🧚🏽♂️kaitlin. shall start a thread with further instructions shortly after this announcement. Feel free to sign up using the form below! Contestants must be 16 years of age or older to participate, or have a parent willing to sign off on their televisation.

Conveniently, the final round of judging will have been slated in the exact same time slot as the unveiling of the new Fenwick Hospital in District Six, subsequent reports of unrest in the district post-announcement. Mayor Irvine has yet to comment on decreased presence of the Peacekeeper force in Nine in the resulting weeks.
