The Pull Up Challenge [Open]

It feels like there is not much competition going on in the Training Centre for Portia. Everyone is so focused on impressing sponsors and being rewarded with the very best training score. Both competitions – sure but again, the old-fashioned boring ways of The Hunger Games! She has heard that there have been sparring tournaments in the training centre before and other such exciting events but this year, nothing. There’s only so many times she can throw a knife at a dummy or build a lame little fire. There must be something more blood pumping for Portia to do…

At lunch, Portia only spends five minutes in the dining hall, loading up on essential protein and carbs, then she heads straight back to the training centre. Not because she is so dedicated to training – but she will let them play that if it earns her sponsorship points.

There are still a few trainers hanging around the centre, setting up new apparatus for the afternoon’s session. Portia chats with the strength building one and they come up with a plan.

A pair of avoxes push a pull up bar in the centre of the room, Portia waits by it for a few minutes, finishing off a chicken sandwich that she snatched from the dining hall. As soon as everyone returns through the doors, she makes sure they all head towards her.

”Who is up for a little competition? I bet most of you can’t beat my personal best pull up score, come on give it a go!”

Portia is the first to demonstrate, she coats her palms in chalk and then grabs a hold of the bar. All she must do his pull her whole-body weight up a few times. Whats so hard about that?
