Thompson’s not a naturally competitive person, but he knows he has to get some sort of weaponry experience under his belt. From his experience, he already knows that he can put someone to sleep. Talk about the stars or his flute, or some shit, and it’ll get anyone to yawn. The boy wasn’t really sure where to start, though. Bigger weapons like spears or glaives or swords scared him. He wasn’t big enough to carry all that weight. He also wasn’t sure if he wanted to be in the face of battle, so a ranged weapon seemed much more feasible. It’s like the story he read on one of the first days about a guy with a bow. The main character was a felon, so that wasn’t what he related to, but the idea of running around with a bow felt more protective somehow.
The cool air of the training center wrapped around his body, making him shiver while approaching the tablet. At the ranged station were a few buttons on the panel, ranging from a lesson, to a simulated fight, to just a simple accuracy contest. Obviously, the trainer was there if you wanted to enable the lesson option. But he didn’t feel like that embarrassment from looking bad in front of an expert. Maybe a simple contest would be nice. He selects the “contest” option, and the panel lights up to a new screen to choose the number of competitors. Well, shoot, he forgot that he needs people for a contest. Thompson looked around the room, hoping that someone wanted to join. ”You up for a challenge?" The boy hoped, looking at the nearest body to him.
Shoot some arrows (or any ranged weapons, your choice) with Thompson! In this interactive contest, each tribute will aim at a target. When shooting the first shot, you’ll use the command [*roll range="1-20"] (remove the asterisk). Whatever number you roll will be put toward your score! The first tribute to reach 100 will win the contest. They don’t actually win anything, but we can decide one :-). This can be anyone from 1-3 people a,nd we’ll go in a rotation! Because of a potentially bigger group of 4 tributes, I’m making this a blitz style.
