I ran from the blood bath as fast as I could go. I know that it makes me look weak or whatever, but I really don't care. I know what I'm capable of, and that's what matters. But I find a place to hide, and I watch everyone flee, and I wait to make my way back in to see if there's anything else I can find. All I manage is to pick up a knife. It's better than nothing, it'll keep me safe, but it won't help me in a sword fight. That's okay though. I look around unsure of where I'm wanting to go, but after I make sure the coast is clear, I head back into the throne room.

I look around and I go up to the throne and I wipe everything off of it, and then I sit down. I smile and look up happy as I can be. This is where a true king deserves to sit, and I am sitting there without a care in the world. At the end, I want to wear the crown, to feel it, to go home and sit on my own throne, but first I have to get there. Not that it matters because this is probably the closest anyone from district two will get to royalty. I'm wearing the crown. I'm the king, and I'm going to make sure everyone knows it when this game is over. I make myself comfortable and sit there for a little while just enjoying the feeling while it lasts.

As I'm sitting there, I see Kristof he's a good kid, but the worst kids are the ones that are quiet and nice. He could easily sneak up behind me and slit my throat without thinking twice about it. I look at him and hold onto the knife and play with it. Maybe he'll go away, or maybe he wants to talk. Maybe he wants to be a friend. I don't know anymore. "Shouldn't you think twice when coming around here?" I ask him as I twiddle the knife in my hands. "Better hurry before the others come back. You're probably going to need it based on looking and seeing what you have."

He ran like a coward as fear courses through his veins. This is terrifying, and Kristof wants nothing to do with any of it. Every breath becomes a harsh reality, and maybe that's why his face will one day appear in the night sky, but for now, he keeps going. Every second feels like an eternity, and perhaps finding a place to lay down and hide would change it all, yet he keeps walking around, pacing unsure of what to do, and now he has to make a choice.

Decisions are never easy to make, and perhaps that's the biggest downfall of everything, but it gives him a chance to explore, to see the beauty of this incredible arena, to look at it all, to have a blast when all hope seems gone. It's a fairytale, one he's dreamed of, and he's truly living it.

I think this is more of a nightmare.

And now he wanders alone until he sees Noah sitting on the throne. It doesn't give him much of a chance, perhaps it's too easy, and part of him wants to run away, but he's been caught.

Noah speaks, and Kristof wants to run away, to find a place to escape to, to hide, to get away, but maybe it's time to find a friend, an ally; someone to help him in his time of need.

"I ran because I knew it was for the best. I'm not a fighter, Noah. I just want to hide, and play as behind the scenes as I can."

He looks around trying to make sense of it all, but right now, he doesn't have much to stand on, and instead of running again, Kristof is going to attempt to stand his ground and show he's not afraid of a career who could easily win it all.
