Drowning [Kristof Day One]

Everywhere he turns, Kristof checks over his shoulder ever since his run in with Noah. It's taught him to stay focused and always look around, and always take everything in. Nothing is easy here, and nothing is fun, but Kristof takes in his advice to remind himself it's important to never let one's guard down. He isn't a career, and he's definitely not strong enough to be a career, yet his entire being begs him for a chance at success. But maybe this is more than it seems. Maybe this is far more important than anything else. Maybe survival is easy?

But how can it be when I have no chance?

A heavy sigh leaves his chest as he curls up on the ground. Right now everything is worse than it seems, and without anything to help him stay alive, Kristof isn't sure what to do or where to go. Everything is a struggle, a pain, and his entire being wants nothing more than to surrender. He's weak and vulnerable, and he knows he's not capable of doing well. Why try? Why do anything here? Why play this game when all it's going to do is end in his death?

Oh well, I'll try, and maybe, just maybe, I can survive. It's all I can hope for.
