The chaos unfurls like a spark against his skin. The adrenaline pumps and pumps until he feels the burn start up. There's nothing more than himself and the statues of people around him. It's a fire that settles into the pit of his stomach. His neck is bleeding too much. His leg is bleeding just as much. The knight could've killed him. Stone against his skin, he felt something tense and then freeze. Was it just his imagination? Did someone stop the knight from killing him? He didn't quite know. There was almost a bit of magic to it. Lost in the idea of magic, he settles himself into a little home. There's nothing but a family of stone people there. A panic in their eyes as they're packing up items. He's alone, stuck in this frozen field of fear.
A dandelion. Kingston wanted to be a dandelion; elusive and growing from stone. Never had he thought of the weed until it was gone. A lost memory of being a child and sitting on a front porch blowing seed to the wind. A wish never to be told. None of them ever came true, but god did he wish and wish and wish. Their seeds blossomed more wishes and children danced and cheered at finding a full one. A smile always plastered to his face seeing other kids enjoy the mundane things everyone takes for granted. Perhaps he is a mundane kid just surrounded by killers. Perhaps he isn't a killer like some of the careers. If there's one thing he is, it's resilient. Too many times has he had near fatal incidents at work with his little computer and the technical areas of Three. Electric burns spread across his fingers and he could still remember the way he'd passed out the one time when he was too small to really work, but needed to reach small places for adults.
Kingston sits there with too many thoughts filling his brain. If he was like a dandelion, he wanted to be resilient like one. Stand tall in the face of uncertainty and either flourish like them or fall with a promise of more. A dandelion knight. It's a silly thought, but right now, he feels silly just hiding out in a house with stone fake people. It's a gentleness to his touch as he gently swipes a finger at the dad's neck wondering how easy it would be to break this person, but he knew deep down he wouldn't. Instead, he sits back and stares for a moment longer. If the gamemakers wanted them to be in a story, Kingston would do so. Especially if it meant he got to live another day, he'd do anything to see his mom.
"Don't worry. I-I'll save you." Stone does not speak. "The Dandelion Knight is on it."
A pause.
"Now how does someone break a curse?"
