Georgia spends long hours into the evening programing the careful deconstruction of weeks worth of their work. Her daughter calls somewhere in the waning hours of night, but she’s in the middle of trying to balance listening to Kelsier talk through morning plans for the rubble fields with entering the line items for the hydraulics Sloane made her promise would be life threatening, so she lets it push through to voicemail and reminds herself to call Calamity back in the morning.
In truth, though she listens and encourages his ideas, Georgia had grown weary of simply listening to Kelsier talk about dreams. “It’s psychological warfare,” he says with that spark in his eyes that never really dims, but Georgia finds her attention waning towards absentmindedness as she tinkers with the constellations instead. It was not disgust, she couldn't be so cruel, but there's something infinitely more seductive about the terrible, about the violent. The real things, the things that hurt, that can be grabbed a hold of and thrown to the sky. For as long as it has served her to dream, she has always loved it most for the ways in which a dreamed fantasy might open up the world. Teach her how to become the rock, encduring through tamed rage, enduring in her simplest, purest form. Let her dream up a mind sharp as coral and find in it the formidable face of the future; let her create from nothing something new; let her decide what’s true, what’s real.
Time yawns and stretches, Georgia monitoring the control panel with stern eyes, Kelsier flickering out of form for a couple hours somewhere between the witching hour and dawn. Mortal steel, blue sharp as a blade, her eyes watch the program run and ensure, as promised, the smell of wet pine and honeysuckle on the air come daybreak.
The fog rolls through first on this the third morning, the nightly calls of owls and other less-friendly creatures eventually giving way to the chaotic chittering of different birds. The weather blots out the sky, collecting the stars in its soft embrace and hiding them from the tributes before they wake. With a nod from Sloane, she flips a switch and watches as the solar program initiates daytime, beginning the slow process of leeking pastel color across the cloud-marbled sky. They obscure the most beautiful parts with the fog, the pinks leaking across the treetops peaking out across the wilds, but the lucky ones will live to see a kinder one another day.
“What time did you decide on?” Sloane asks, shoulders squared, nails tapping against her screen and presses send on a message before looking up. “Tell me you have time for a nap before we loose the floodgates. Did you even leave last night?”
“Noon,” Georgia says shortly, leaning back in her chair. She pulls her cap down further over her eyes. “And don’t worry. I’ll sleep properly when they’re dead.”〰️
Congratulations on surviving Day 2!
...but, well. This is awkward.
None of you have fallen yet which means that there are still twenty-three tributes left between you and victory.
✧ ATTENTION TRIBUTES:
Today, the arena wakes up. Rather than being mandated to fight each other, the GMs have decided to allow the arena to attempt some of the heavy lifting for you instead. Depending on the region you are in, your tribute will experience an arena event that seeks to harm them. For each post in your mandated thread, tributes will take damage equal to the 3-8 dice rolled at the end of each of their posts. Tributes are mandated to post a minimum of three (3) times in their respective threads before they are permitted to flee and explore their areas of interest.

CLIMATE
A blanket of fog and mist collects before dawn, draping the arena in humid warmth that seems to hide you from peering eyes. The air feels warmer than yesterday, as if something is collecting on the cool mist, slowly building static... Most of the morning the mist rolls, allowing peeks into the sky, but by noon it has blotted out the entire sky as thunderheads begin reaching towards the blue. The cold rains of autumn roll in shortly after.
Temperature: 61°F | 16°C
Humidity: 98%Tributes must drink water and eat food or they will take damage.
