Alright, I realize I'm new but I've found a few things with the sight that irks me. Just for some background information I ran a forum very similar to this but with writing only for two years. I shut it down a lil over six months ago.
Now I understand that this is first a role playing website. But that doesn't mean it can't also be a community. What does that mean? Well you have a huge user base here and they are extremely friendly and open. Too often the cbox is filled, I for once can't read it fast enough some times. I'm not saying getting a bigger and better cbox, but instead create a a whole section of "community" forums.
'But Doctor we have the district square!" Yes that is fine and good, but it is too broad. Hell half the topics in there are about the Hunger games universe. If the site offered a "Real Life" discussion board I'm willing to put money on it will fill. It's the way the human mind works. If you say "Talk about anything" Its hard to get started. But if one would say "Talk about media here" than the media will be used.
So here is my suggestion. At the bottom of the forum, after "The Other Lands" slap a "Community" section. There put the following:
-Media (Music Movies video games)
-General Discussion (Basically your District square)
-Real Life
-Problems
-Homework help(Sometimes his is used)
-Debate (Real life issues ect.)
-The arts(May or may not be used, a place to show off ones Art, stories, photography, bands)
-Other Role Plays
-"finds"(On our old forum we called this the playroom. Here you post funny videos, funny pictures, or cool websites.
Now I'm not saying your wrong, Hell your probably right. It's just coming here new the only interaction I've had with this wondeful community is on the Cbox. and the Cbox being what it is I am often lost and have no where to say what I want to express.
All I'm trying to say Is that there are a TON of wonderful people here. All I want is a better way to interact with these beautiful people.
One more thing, is it possible we can have a skin with just a plain ol' black background. On my phone the lines are distorted and is pretty ugly.
