Name:Brendan Curtis
Age: 15
Appearance: Brendan's about five feet, four inches. He's skinny and lacks muscle, but is lanky and runs well. He's white and really pale. He has constantly messy dark brown hair, the color of chocolate, that's really short and sticks up in places. Frankly, it looks like he just rolled out of bed. He's got really light blue eyes, the color of a clear river. His voice is mid-range and a little grating, with animated inflection. He tends to slouch a little, and looks absent, like he's thinking about something more important.
Personality: The first thing that strikes anyone about Brendan is his confidence: or rather overconfidence. He thinks he can do anything, but the scary thing is that no one's ever proved him wrong. His few friends would call him "forceful", but most anyone wouldn't be so kind about it. He will do anything to get what he wants, short of actually endangering himself. At first glance, he strikes people as a coward: afraid of heights, bugs, the woods, Peacekeepers, and criminals. Underneath, he's thoughtful and extremely smart. And not afraid to tell you. He looks down on those of lower station, even though he's not so high up himself. His inner self is different than what shows: he's actually got a strong sense of justice, is protective of the few friends he has, and has a way with words. He's always privately wanted to rebel against the Capitol, but he's never had the guts or a way to do it.
History: Brendan had a little sister named Sara. She was three years younger than him, and was killed in a Hunger Games. Her demise was brought about by the Career pack, creating Brendan's lingering hate for the Careers and the Capitol. He works with the machinery of District One's factories, and is the most mechanically and scientifically gifted of his age. He's known throughout the district for this feat. He's upper class and lives a very comfy life with his doting parents. However, his late sister was the family favorite and he never seems to live up to his parent's expectations. He tends to hang out alone and has no real friends or close acquaintances. He holds people at arm's length, constantly worried he'll lose them like he lost his sister.
