Now you may be wondering: What kind of question is this? I would die right away of course. Or, I would sooo go to the end! Well, think about it. And I mean think about it.
What are your strengths?
What are your weaknesses?
What kind of training would you do?
Would you be able to kill someone if you truly had to?
What would be your training score and why?
How far would you make it?
And these questions shouldn't take two minutes to figure out. No, truly think, if these games were real, what would happen to me? Where would I specialize, where would my weaknesses be? Who would be my easiest method of killing? What are possible ways I could die in the games? What would be my outcome?
You may be surprised with what you can come up with.
For example:
My Strengths:
Exceptional upper body strength- from hours of swimming, I have immense shoulders that hold a lot of power. Swinging around a sword would be almost simple.
Swimming ability- After swimming for two years, I can sprint through the water with high speeds. I can complete a fifty freestyle in 27.60 seconds. That is much faster than a normal person can swim. I can also hold my breath for almost a minute straight.
Good Dexterity- Even though I am a klutz, I can hoist myself up a tree quickly. From there, I would be better protected. I can also do small tasks with my hands from years of drawing/typing.
Problem-Solving- This is what I am best at. I can think fast and come up solutions faster than some others. Quick judgments come naturally to me and I know how to follow through without looking back.
My Weaknesses:
Chronic Injury- I have a horrible injury to both of my knees that makes my knee caps slowly turn in place. This makes running difficult and constant movement painful. I would have to rest often when traveling long distances. I wouldn't be able to run for very long so I would have to lose enemies quickly or die.
Lack of Balance- I fall over anything and everything. I cannot move in a straight line to save my life and roots and stones pose a threat to me when running. My balance is nearly nonexistent so I would constantly be falling.
Dangerously Rash- Often, I act without thinking. I do not size up the situation and I rush into things without thinking. This could give me some serious trouble when it comes to picking fights or make split second decisions.
Poor Eyesight- I am very near-sighted and would either need glasses, goggles, or contacts in the Game. Glasses are easily broken, goggles can fog up and obscure my vision, and contacts can be easily lost while I sleep or am in water. This would pose a threat if I had nothing on my face then I would not be able to see past arms-length.
Training:
I would mostly focus on the forest plants and how to survive in the wild using hunting skills. I would also use this to my advantage, since I would not make a very good physical fighter. I could poison my opponents by learning which plants paused a fatal threat and stuffing food with them. I would also take to sword-fighting as my source of combat since I do not have aim and would rather have a short-range fight than a long-range one.
Killing:
I don't know. I want to say that I am a good person and would rather die before having to kill someone else but I don't think that's true. If my life was in danger and I had to choose between my own life and someone else's, I would chose mine. At that point, I don't think I would have a problem with killing another. I would feel much guilt later but for the short time afterward, I wouldn't feel anything.
Training Score:
Maybe a four or a five. I would land somewhere in the middle because I would not exceed at one thing. Instead, I would be more balanced between my training focuses and I have an equal skill in each. I would not stand out but I would show I have enough skill to survive long in the games and earn sponsors.
How Far?:
I would make it past the first few days. According to my strategy, I would avoid the bloodbath at the beginning all together. If not, I would stay to the edges and snag something small and light. Due to my knee, I would try to get as far away as possible at the start of the game from everyone else. From there, I would figure out my survival. My death would probably be caused by either someone catching up to me and killing me because I cannot run away and have nothing to protect myself with. Or, I die from a lack of food/water because I did not risk the bloodbath before and had nothing to collect those precious things.
So now, think it through. Would you survive the Hunger Games?
