Gregory Auborn District 10

(Written in Gregory' s point of view)

Hair and face: My hair is a bowl shape, with thick brown hair. I think its handsome because I keep it washed often. It comes down to my eyes, and covers up my ears. My eyes used to be a pretty blue shade, but now they lack of color and are a Grey tone. They are still pretty interesting to look at though in my opinion. My teeth are white as a pearl, and are as perfect as can be. My nose and ears are pretty average and have nothing much too them. My skin is clear and a bit pale with no acne or freckles.

Body: If one said I was over-weight they would be insane. In-fact, some might say I am anorexic, but I don't starve myself; food is just scarce. My back has long painful scars on it from a time when I was younger.

Arms and Legs: I guess my arms and legs are, um, wimpy. They don't have fat on them, not muscle. They used to have muscle, but I guess that was a while ago. The only thing interesting about my arms and legs is that they are very long. They are pretty much long skinny sticks.

Gregory is a pretty average person except one thing makes him stand out. Some might think he is smart, but he is more than smart; he is a genius. It helps that he lives in district 10; the mathematics district, but Gregory was a genius even before he move to district 10 from district 4. Although Gregory is a genius, he views himself as the smartest person that ever lived. Because of this he is slightly cocky, and come to mention it, arrogant.

An odd thing about Gregory is that he can sense your feelings, he can tell if you are angry, upset, or jealous. He calls it a gift, while others call him weird or physic. His actions just depend on the mood he is in, most of the time he is in a happy or satisfied state, but he occasionally feels devious or destructive. He usually gets destructive when he feels someone did something stupid or when someone didn't take his advice when they should have. He feels his advice is always needed because since he is the smartest one of them all; they would benefit from it. When he is aggressive he picks fight with people, usually winning from the previous training. If he does happen to lose a fight he claims they just got lucky, and he also throws stuff causing them to brake.

He tries to make friends but that usually fails because people view him as aggressive, too smart, or socially awkward. If someone refuses to be his friend he thinks that he was better than them any ways, and that it was their loss. The few friends he has tend to be smart like Gregory, for since they are both smart they don't get to see each other much because both of them are probably studying or reading.

His family used to live in district 4; the fishing district. They were a upper class family, and Gregory spent all his time in the training center. When Gregory was 9 he got caught saying that he was smarter than the dumb peacekeepers, well he was in his mind, because of that he got publicly whipped causing the scars on his back. When Gregory was 12, his family was ordered by the capitol to leave their home and go to District 10. It was a rare thing to happen, for the capitol to demand such a thing. After the Auborn family left the area construction for a new district square began where the area that the Auborn's used to live. After finding this out the family was less confused, but they still wonder why the capitol wanted the family to move to district 10.

The change didn't really affect the Auborn family until a year after their move. His mother ran off after she was caught having an affair with another man. Having his mother run off didn't really affect Gregory though, they were never close. His dad on the other hand turned into a wreck, and after a year he committed suicide.

After that Gregory met his girlfriend Clair. They met at the library where Gregory spends all his life. Of all the girls Gregory finds her the smartest, and the most beautiful in his eyes. The more time they spent together the deeper and deeper they fell for each other. They are are now planning to get married after they both turn 19; a year older than the last year they are eligible for the reaping. Once they do maybe Gregory's financial situation will get better, Gregory is living on the money his parents owned, and because Gregory doesn't have a job, food is scarce.
