Meylnda(AKA Mirage) District 5~Fin.

Mirage is about 5ft 5 in, which isn't the tallest in her family. Mirage is her alias for many reasons. One of them being her looks. She has golden blonde hair and light gray eyes. Her hair is slightly wavy and has a few darker streaks in it.Her right pupil is oddly deformed. Instead of being a circle, it is in fact an upwards pointing arrow.

Her hands are small and delicate, but skilled at organizing things. Mirage's skin is fairly tan, despite the fact that she's more of a night person. She has thin-but strong-ish- arms. And strong legs. Bruises normally cover her face or her chest/arms. Wide hips give make her a bit more attractive. But sometimes people don't overlook her bruises and pupil.

Mirage is a night person, she loves to sit outside and listen to the owls call. She loves to listen in general. Mirage's favorite sound is that of the wind rustling through the trees. This teenager is quiet and loving. Despite her past. It's weird though. Her fears are loud noises and owls. But she loves to hear noises and listen to owls.

Mirage is very kind. She shows this by caring for her adopted family's animals. Also she is fearful of what may come. She loves her brother alot and fears that he will die before she does. She takes care of her 11-year-old brother with great care and dreads the day when his name will be called. She hopes that it will never happen, because she cannot take his place.

Mirage despite all of this is reckless. She breaks her own rules by trying to see her father. Shyness also affects her. She tries to hide alot, tries to cover her bruises but it's hard. She doesn't have many friends and the ones she does have don't know much about her. The little bit they do know though is that she's easily scared.

Mirage had a horrible childhood. Shortly after her brother was born she had to learn how to take care of the sheep. And how to keep the dogs from fighting and stuff. One day she slept in. Her father got so mad at her and beat her, almost fracturing one of her arms. Her mother tried to stop him but just barely did.

Her mother was beaten and her dad started to become drunk. Mirage finally(after a few years) decided to step up and take action, and told her mother to pack some basic belongings. Mirage left for school and remembered to store her energy for the escape that night.

Their plan worked out until her brother started to cry because he left his blanket inside. Waking up their father. Mirage's mother handed a few bundles of clothes and a bit of money to Mirage. Her brother was dragged along by Mirage, almost asleep.

Their mother was left behind. They prayed and prayed that she would come and meet them. But she didn't. They soon found out that she'd been shot.(Mirage had to tell her brother that she was lost)So they had to house in at one of Mirage's friend's houses. Her friend's family leaves them only pretty much, leaving Mirage to be mother to her brother. She secretly mourned for her mother but has gotten stronger since then.
