Anastasia:
The training center just let us out for lunch. I made my way into the cafeteria attached to the underground gym. It smelled amazing. Bread and different foods from every district were available to eat. I walked over to the District 10 food. Not that I didn't want something new, but this was one of my last days to enjoy want I had always had.
After I dished myself up, I looked for a place to sit. Some of the careers had already started eating and chatting loudly. I noticed a few more districts seemed to be teaming up. It wasn't unlikely, but it was strange. I'd have to kill everyone in this room if I wanted to make it back to Ben and Sarah.
I took a seat alone, tried up my hair, and started picking at my food. These are the people I was up against. I was only further repulsed of the careers they laughed or yelled loudly. A tray hit the area of the table in front of me and I looked up to see Ismene sitting down. District 2, she was one of the people I agreed to make a temporary alliance with. She nodded in my direction, and I returned her nod with a smirk.
She was one of the few people I had talked to in the training center that I wasn't repulsed by. The other was the tribute from District 6. Rocko Hopkins. Speak of the devil. He walked over to us, and took a seat on Ismene's left. It was us three against all of them. But we didn't even know each other that well.
Rocko hadn't become an official member of Ismene's and my alliance, but he had been next to us while we were at the first aid table. Ismene was trying to show me some things on first aid since she worked with medicine all day. Since Rocko's district partner seemed to be.. elsewhere, we invited him to sit with us.
Afterall, because being left alone only means minutes of pure torture. Thinking of how you may die. Or trying to cope with the fact your going to have to kill all these people. I like to pretend I'm a nice person. It's the least I can do. "So," I address Rocko glumly,"What happened to your district partner?"
