Age: 16

Appearance:
Semper, quite literally, will stand out in a crowd. He stands at 7'1", though he has a decent sense of balance about him. Having to work with the large livestock of the farm has made it to where the muscle on his body is lean, and even though he hasn't a bulky build, he's not stick thin, either. His body type is the happy median of the two.
His eyes are a strange feat by themselves: the left one being a green-hazel, and the right one being a clouded blue with a white pupil. The cataract and white pupil in his left eye is a result of Norrie disease, which also means he's blind in that one eye. His blonde hair falls just slightly over his eyes, though it hardly disrupts his field of vision.
Callouses harden both his hands and his feet from years of work and going around barefoot. Even though people may not like them, he's quite fond of his callouses because they protect him from getting blisters.
Personality:
Semper, despite his size and strength, does not enjoy fighting. He likes the calmness of a still morning, gentle breeze on a hot summer day, and when snow falls and everything is as if it's holding its breath. No, he isn't a fighter -- he likes to take things from a peaceful and neutral approach, sorting things out by words rather than by fists.
Like most others, he is very loyal to those who show kindness to him. He's quiet at first, but as you get to know him and vice versa, he'll become more open, especially if he really trusts you. He holds his best friends near and dear to his heart, willing to fallow them to the ends of the earth, even if it means jumping head first into the unknown.
Semper is definitely one for honesty, and he'll always put that into practice. For him it's hard to tell a lie, unless he really convinces himself that it's only a little white lie that won't harm anything. Sure, this may make him sound like a wimp, but he'd rather only keep vital things secret and tell lies to cover those instead of lying about everyday things.
History:
The farm Semper grew up in was a rural one, having been in the family for so many generations that hardly even his great grandmother could remember who had built it. The wood on both the house and barn has begun to rot, though it was still stable and in working condition.
When Semper was about five or six years old, he went out to help with his parents and two older brothers with taking care of the livestock, which consisted of horses, cattle, chickens, and a few pigs and goats. Since he was still young and small, Semper would help with the little foals, calfs, chicks, piglets and kids, petting them and giving them food and milk. He loved the bond that soon formed between himself and the animals, and how he could understand them most of the time. As he grew -- which was at a rapid rate -- he began to take on more large-scale tasks, lifting large bales of hay and feed, carrying them to the pastures and dumping them.
His older brothers taught him how to ride horses bareback, feeling that a saddle disconnected the bond between equine and rider. From the moment Semper started riding, he loved it so much that whenever he had free time, he would get one of the horses and go for a ride, despite how many times he fell off.
One day, while some new cattle were being brought in, one of the bulls was thrashing around, terrified and angry at the same time. Semper's mother cautiously approach the creature, softly singing lullabies to the animal, calming it down for a few minutes while she gently stroked its neck and shoulders in a soothing way. The bull seemed to settle down, but after a few moments, it lost its temper. Swinging its head around, one of its sharp horns speared her through the abdomen, throwing her across the pen that they were in. Horrified, Semper's father jumped the wooden fence, going over to his wife, but the bull turned on him, too, skewering him. Semper knew that he was too small to do anything, so he quickly climbed through the wooden fence just moments before he heard a gun shot. Turning his head, Semper saw his oldest brother holding a shotgun, and the smell of rustic blood became almost overwhelming as it poured from his parents and the groaning bull.
Before Semper's two little sisters could run to get help, his parents died in the pen beside the bull. Ever since then, Semper has been more wary of trying to protect those he loves and watching over them.

I'm a bit rusty with RPing people and I can't remember the last time I did a human RPG, but I literally just finished reading the Hunger Games a few days ago, and I fell in love with it. <3 Beautiful site, by the way. =D
