Anani PetrosAnani continued to trudge on towards a new place for him and Joshua to stay because they both knew that the time they had left to live was winding down to zero. Anani had woken up from a few hours of sleep, only to discuss with Joshua that they should move on before any mutts detected them. The morning had been particularly cold and the fog had been getting thicker and thicker. Without a second thought to such nuances in the weather, Anani had just went on, grateful for the scare warmth Joshua's warm provided him.
They were on better terms, or at least Anani thought so. Joshua had taken his gifts, and they had shared basic information with each other. And whether Anani trusted Joshua with his life or not, he knew that he had to depend on someone if he were to get any further in the Games. And that someone just happened to be Joshua. If Anani were to die... he would put his hope into Joshua. Hope that Joshua might see his family again. Maybe make a sibling happy, a sibling like Nisa.
They seemed to walk on in the cold for hours until finally reaching another body of water. With an eager bounce to his step, they continued on at a faster rate until Anani gingerly let down Joshua near the body of water. Anani quickly got out his empty jug and filled up with water. Without a moment's hesitation, he inserted another precious iodine tablet into the water and then waited. As soon as he saw that the iodine had dispersed completely into the water, Anani quenched his thirst with large gulps until the jug was empty once again. Anani filled up the jug again and stored it away in his bag for future use.
Hey Joshua, just wait here, alright? I'll go pick some herbs for the both of us. With a nod to assure him that he'd be fine, Anani quickly ran towards the outskirts of the foliage around the creep and checked for any herbs that could be used for eating or healing. After searching for half an hour of what seemed to be an endless task of looking at the same poisonous herbs over and over again, Anani found some herbs that could be used for healing. With a breath to help the pain, Anani crushed the herb and rubbed it over his deep wound on his bicep. With a sigh after the herb was completely rubbed in, Anani picked some more herbs and continued on looking for some food. By luck, Anani found some berries early on and returned to Joshua with the goods he had acquired on his expedition.
Anani laid out Joshua's portion of the medical and edible herbs in front of him as he took out one of his medical kits to further take care of his wounds. With a grimace, Anani washed off his wound with some water before applying another set of some sloppy stitches on the wound. Then getting out another half feet of bandages, he wrapped his arm tightly before laying back to rest once more. It had been so long since he had been in civilization. 16 teenagers were already killed in this bloodfest and he had made it to the top 8. Would he make it in the end after all? Was that letter to Arbor all for naught? No... optimism would be futile here. He would die in the end... His hope would die off in the end... Everything would die in the end... It was just how the world worked. And with such moribund thoughts, Anani gazed at the clouds as he hoped and hoped.
[OOC Summary: Used 1 iodine table and drank water. Filled the jug back up with water. Used Herbs, Needle and Thread, and Bandages on Anani. Got two medicinal herbs and edible herbs. Gave medicinal and edible herbs to Joshua.]
