Anthem - Day 7

Without warning, the sky above you- long since dark with the passing of the sun, making the Arena even eerier than before- bursts into sound and colour. The sound of the Panem’s anthem fills the air, alerting you to look up and see the seal of the Capitol appear, so bright it overrides the stars. The Anthem continues to play until completion of every nauseating note. You could swear they’re trying to mock you- and in truth, they probably are.

The song finally fades- but tonight, no faces of the dead appear where the seal hangs above you. Fifteen tributes have already died, leaving seven in the Arena to compete for victory. If you wish to survive, you still have to ensure the deaths of six others.

The seal fades, returning the sky to the dominion of the stars and moon and whatever strange creatures fly through the air of an Arena. You’ve all been left to your own devices once more.

The weather continues to work against you, fluctuating wildly in the evening and getting generally colder as the night goes on. Tributes who try to go to the lake for water are forcibly turned northward to the Grain Field, as moving through the fog has become nigh on impossible as swimming through molasses unless you're going with the current. Other areas of the Arena may soon see the same problem- the same sort of mist that has hovered over the lake the entire day is encroaching on others, so that the only fog-free areas are the forested ones. Luckily, though the hail-like rain from yesterday expands to the whole upper half of the Arena, it doesn't last past sunrise, at which point the weather warms dramatically.
