I personally don't think this would be a good idea - the time period is 56 years after the rebellion/Dark Days, so I don't think there would be a point in going back to that. New characters would need to be made (you can't age them -56 years), and it would be much too confusing.

At least, that's my take on it. It'd be best to stick to the time period, in my opinion. It's a good idea though.
