Hannah's looks are subtle in a dark, mysterious way.
Her hair is a dusky chestnut-brown color. It is curly, but not in the refined, perfect sort of way; it's more of a tousled, disarranged look, reaching down past her shoulders to the small of her back. She wears it up sometimes, when she's working.
Her face is rounded, and her cheekbones are high in her face structure, which makes the rest of her face look hollow at times, as if she's half-starving (which she basically is, most the time).
Hannah's eyes are hazel in color. A light sienna brown in the center, which gradually fades in green, and then turns into a dark ring around the outer edge of her irises. Yet sometimes they look darker, almost black in certain lighting.
Her overall complexion is pale, more so compared to her dark hair and eyes. She doesn't contain very much muscle, either, so it makes her look a bit fragile sometimes. But Hannah is used to taking care of herself. She likes to think that she is independent, very much capable of taking care of herself even without the gift of voice, but she can turn pessimistic very easily.
She's skeptical most of the time, and doesn't have very much faith in the world or in the good of the people inhabiting it. But maybe that's because Hannah's tongue was removed at the delicate age of four.History:
Sarcasm is one of her major qualities, and even when she can't speak it, it clearly shows in her writing. That's one thing that keeps Hannah going... writing. She tends to write small stories and poems whenever she can, even when she doesn't have a paper or pen. Even if it is just a napkin and some liquid ink... she just can't resist.
The stories usually consist of depressing plotlines, or no plotlines at all, and if read thoroughly, one might realize that Hannah utterly and completely loves metaphorical comparisons and ironic writing.
It's like communicating, like speaking through her fingers. At least it makes up a little bit for her miserable life... even if only the paper is listening.
Other than that, Hannah has another, softer side. A defeated side of her. Maybe that's why she's usually so *passive...
You'd think, being an avox and all, Hannah would have an amazing elaborate history. But it's actually pretty short, sweet, and final.Codeword: muttations
She and er parents were avid hunters, providing for their large, but under-fed family of seven, including her grandmother, her parents, her three siblings, and her orphaned cousin.
Hannah was actually pretty good, for being so young. She could kill an animal after a few trials with her personal set of throwing knives, and could then skin it and cook it with the help of her mother. It was daily life for her. She didn't really realize that their actions were illegal until they were actually caught.
Her parents were killed in an instant, while, after much thought, the Capitol decided that she had been too young to know right from wrong and had turned her into an avox.
Since then she has been working for a few different Capitolites, all of them different people, yet the same in a sense. They had all been rich, and had all lived in modernized mansions, and had all treated her like a subhuman.
Which, technically speaking, she was. In fact, her current owner is looking to sell her; she doesn't have enough physical strength to get their tasks done.
Comments/Other
*Passive- She goes into a bit of depression sometimes, usually when it is raining.
Sometimes, passive could mean that she just... does without thinking. It is sort of like a protection policy. For instance, if she doesn't think she's just doing orders like a repulsive, indignant mule, then she's not.
Designed to be sold to Malcolm Chamberlain, as part of a new plot.
