Age: 19
Gender: Female
District/Area: Wanderer/Runaway currently living in a warehouse with other Runaways in the Upper Districts. But she used to live with her family in District 8.
Appearance:
Nozomi stands at a mere 5'4", though she doesn't particularly mind her height, as it was considerably taller than her own mother's height. She has long, thick black hair typical of her Asian heritage, and dark brown, almond-shaped eyes. Her features are very delicate and feminine: Nozomi has a rounder-shaped face, light, porcelain-like skin, and a slender frame.
Despite appearing rather skinny, Nozomi's lifestyle has required that she keep fit so that she can remain active, so in actuality, she has a good amount of muscle for a girl of her size, and thus also has the ability to be quite agile.
Nozomi was never one for fancy jewelry or piercings or tattoos, so she has neither piercings or tattoos, and she likely won't be getting some any time soon. In the way of clothes, she is much like her "adopted brothers" in that while she does entertain the idea of following certain styles, she much prefers to dress comfortably, as long as she doesn't look too much like a hobo. A lot of things she wears she makes on her own with her weaving and sewing skills.
Personality:
Nozomi is an odd cross between a tom-boy and a girgly girl. She fits right in with all the guys she's living with and doesn't mind doing any dirty work at all. She's rather sporty , and is so far from being the type to worry about a broken nail. However, she often finds time at home to complain about the boys' gross manners, and she finds a certain peace and contentedness sitting at home doing things like sewing or weaving or some other household chores. She does not, however, like cooking all that much, and she also doesn't like having to the dishes, if she can avoid it.
Even though she's the oldest girl in the household, Nozomi feels less like a mother and more like an older sister to the younger boys in the home. She tries to do her best in giving advice to the youngest of the guys, when they need it, but a lot of the time, she's got ten tons of questions of her own to be answered. In addition to being a tad stubborn, she's got the kind of curiosity that killed the famous proverbial cat.
But much like the guys she is living with, Nozomi feels fiercely attached to her adopted family. She's only been living with them for a matter of a few years, but the bonds they have developed are unbreakable. She constantly worries about the guys' night ventures, feeling a bit like a lazy bum not being able to go out and do the same, though she tries to accept the fact that the boys have a legitimate reason for her not doing it too.
Living as a runaway with the guys, Nozomi has definitely become something of a tomboy, but she's still got those mothering vibes somewhere deep down inside, and she holds true to her memories of her mother.
History:
Nozomi was born to a single-parent household, to a woman whose skill with her hands was symbolic of the trades of District 8, where the family lived. Nozomi's father had taken off and left behind his pregnant girlfriend long before Nozomi's birth.
Despite the lack of a male presence in the household, Nozomi and her mother were quite content. Life certainly wasn't easy--they had to work from early in the day to late into the night to even hope to raise enough money to live off of--but they knew that they were luckier than some families. The threat of Nozomi being selected for the Hunger Games loomed heavily over the household of two, however the girl and her mother worked hard to avoid any thoughts about the games themselves. In fact, despite the difficulties of every day life, they lived pretty contentedly. They had many good friends and neighbors around them, and other than the typical mother-daughter argument now and again, they truly understood and appreciated each other.
Until the fire.
Nozomi, her mother, and their neighbors lived in an area with many wooden-made homes. A lot of their belongings were very flammable as well, considering they worked to produce things like clothing and linens. The fire happened by accident--a fire unattended in one of the weaving shops not too far from Nozomi's own home--and when it spread, it took down many of the homes in the neighborhood. Nozomi's included.
Nozomi wasn't even aware of the accident, or the death of her mother, who had still been inside, until much later, after returning from an errand in the main part of town.
The pain Nozomi felt was unbearable. Without her mother, her home, their lifestyle....she truly believed it was the end. Despite neighbors' wishes to watch over her for a while until things were settled, and even though she knew their intentions were good, Nozomi turned down everything.
One day, she went to a river not too far where home was. And as she stood on the banks, pondering just walking into the river and letting it swallow her up, carry her somewhere unknown.....that was when Yuki came into her life.
The first thing that struck her was that he was of the same ethnicity as her, and a similar background in addition. And he spoke the same languages. More than that, it seemed he too had lost his family, and even though Nozomi had never really trusted boys, having grown up in a strictly-female household, there was something about Yuki that made her feel safe and happy.
Yuki was something of an odd presence in Nozomi's life, because he also became one of the first males she'd ever met that she actually trusted. She lived with him for a short while, wandering around the country, and actually living considerably decently, because Yuki had a decent sum of money of his own, and she continued to weave things to sell, when she could.
It was only after some time that Nozomi and Yuki met up with the other Runaways who they would inevitably live together with. The first of their three future family members that they would meet was Katsuo, who had the same tender nature as Yuki, though perhaps a bit more serious. Nozomi found it very easy to trust Katsuo as well, and she and Yuki happily joined with him.
Later on, they encountered the younger guys, brothers, Naoki and Ki. At first, Nozomi was a bit leery about living with the other boys, but as time passed and life went on, she found that she truly loved them. Even down to all the little things they did that annoyed her, she felt like she had a real family again. Just...one with a lot of brothers.
Now she is currently living with Yuki, Katsuo, Naoki, and his brother, Ki in an abandoned warehouse somewhere in the Upper Districts. She continues to do her work with weaving and sewing and making money that way, but she does also help out with the stealing when she can. She does not join the boys for the "night" adventures and usually stays behind, at home, with at least one other guy when they do go out.

This is likely my last character! (Or at least, my last character who will be part of the same Runaway clan, hahaha! I don't plan on adding any more characters I make to that group!
