Skye Brita ~DISTRICT 5~

Skye is slim, or more like skinny, and athletic because of her work. She runs in her free time through open fields. She counts more on speed than strength. She has messy dark brown hair, medium length and doesn't focus on her appearance that much. Her eyes are dark brown and constantly gazing around at her surroundings. Skye has never been very tan, although she does spend a lot of time outdoors. She's 5'6, taller than some of her friends. Most of the time, her arms and legd are covered in bruises and scratches due to her time outside. But she really doesn't care if anyone sees her as ugly. A bright smile is almost always on her face, even if it was a bad day.

Skye is bright, happy, energetic and care free. She always looks at the bright side of things, but absolutely despises the Hunger Games. She can't stand the idea of children let loose in an arena, encouraged to kill each other in savage ways. For a usually gentle girl, she can still fight if provoked. Climbing trees and running is her hobby, she wasn't just born with ahleticism. So in a nutshell, she's a girl bursting with happiness. Although when she is in a bad mood, it's not good. For example, the time her best friend was murdered in the Hunger Games, she was deeply depressed for six months. Still she hides her sadness for when she's alone, not wanting to ruin anyone else's day. But depression has always been a weakness for her, and death always seems to catch her off gaurd in her weakest moments.

Skye was born seventeen years ago in District 5. As soon as she learned how to walk, her parents showed her all the jobs and wildlife in the District. Her parents were lucky enough to have never gone to a single Hunger Game, although they were still forced to watch the horrifying Games. When Skye was old enough to attend school, she was tremendously bored by it. The thought of sitting at a desk all day long listening to the droning voice of a teacher was like torture to her. So a few times she tried and skip classes, all the tries were unsuccesful but it took her a while before she gave up. But one good or bad thing did happen while she went to school, Skye became best friends with a girl named Miya, they shared secrets, talked, and hung out until Miya's fourteenth birthday, it was a week before the dreaded Reaping for District 5. Miya and Skye were confident they wouldn't be picked, they had only entered one ballot each, there wasn't any need for extra food. It had been a good year. But the second name that was called for District 5 was Miya's. Skye said her final good byes as Miya headed off for training. Skye's best friend died on her birthday. She hasn't been the same since then, she hates the Capitol for holding the cruel event, she hates them for all the bad things they've done. Her parents helped her through the depressing phase in her life, and gradually, she got better. Now, as seventeen, she's almost fully recovered from her friend's death. Almost.
