She is slender and short with pale skin which seems unnatural because she and her neighbors work outside in the fields all day.

She has never cut her blue-black straight hair, which is one of her two outstanding features. The other is her pair of large clear green eyes with the double-lid. She has a little upturned nose like her mother, curved thin black eyebrows, a thin top lip and a fuller bottom lip, and, like her father, a dimple on right cheek.

She's extremely observant and generally quiet. She's known to have a 'green thumb' and a natural knowledge/'sense' of plants, which is a blessing to her district.

She loves puzzles, but other than that, she's not too big on studying and doesn't like to read; she'd much rather sing as she works in her garden.

History:[/color]

She and her older brother, Jason, live with her 'grandmother', a neighbor that knew and supported her parents.

Her mother was the disowned youngest daughter of the Head Gamemaster and the granddaughter of a leading rebel in the first rebellion. She ran away from the Capitol because she fell in love and died in a peaceful protest-turned-massacre at the hands of the very Peacekeepers working under her own father's associates. Thella's father was a trouble-making commoner and was taken away by the Peacekeepers when Thella was two. He was never seen again. Rumor has it he was killed, but no one is completely sure. Thella hopes he's still alive, but it's considered a childish hope.

Thella grew up under the care of Jason, who is five years older than her and acts much more mature than his age. He was the one who started to call her Thel. Her 'grandmother' is a prominent leader in the operation of the fields, but she doesn't like the control of the Capitol.

She spends most of her free time tending her two saplings and very little 'garden' if you can even call it that. She has few close friends but is pretty much known and adored by many because of her ability to cultivate plants, which helps bring the district more success and efficiency.
