Robyn Jenners, District 10

Robyn Jenners is a willowy young blond girl of seventeen. She has big brown eyes and is quite attractive. She has a straight nose and fair skin. She's very tall and willowy with curves. She stands at five feet with a tuft of honey-colored blond hair that falls from her shoulders. She's not plump, not skinny either, because she eats just right and she also makes sure she exercises. She is strong, even if she does not look it, due to helping around the house. She looks attractive, but she has too full lips and a too broad forehead.

Her eyes are big and brown. They are framed by dark and long lashes. They are often narrowed, which Robyn does while thinking. Her brows are well-arched and her face is heart-shaped. Her cheeks are normally rosy, but often, they appear to lack color because of the way her expressions change quickly. She has dimples in her face - and they say that people with dimples have imperfect faces. But Robyn doesn't mind at all.

Most of the time, she doesn't care about what she looks like. she is often seen clad in casual wear, for mostly anything. her style ranges from jeans and shirts to sweaters and sneakers, anything but skirts.

INSECURE - Robyn is very insecure. She worries a lot and it's a huge part of her. She is very conscious about what she looks like and she hates it. She wants to be pretty, like the models of some clothing lines she buys, and skinnier than what she is, and thus, she has an eating disorder, proof of her own effect on herself. She hates her life, and herself and she can be very irritable when she is in a worrying mood. She fusses about every detail, every mistake, homework and stuff, and if she worries, it is for a good reason. For example, she's worried about her grade in the report card. And why? She'll think her academic upbringing is very important so that she can find work easily. She'll fuss in front of the mirror for minutes and she'll go out looking like a freak.

Do you notice the way she hugs herself? The way she blushes when she says something or when she makes a mistake? Or how she will bite her nails while waiting? That's because she worries.

WELL-READ, SMART - Robyn is a wide reader. She'll read anything she sees off the floor and devour it. There's something about Robyn and it's because she has a passion for reading. She wants more words to devour, to take in. She wants words that describe, that make a simple story come to life in motion and full color. She wants MORE. Besides her thirst and hunger for words, reading offers ESCAPE, a comfort from the real world she inhabits. She breathes the old pages of the books she reads, and the second her eyes scan the page, she is in bliss. Reading is a happpiness for her, away from school, her own insecurity, her own life. The second before she reads she is Robyn, the second she reads, she is Liesel Memimger, a person who Death in the novel The Book Thief, the heroine. She is a character within the story, the complex plot that entwines characters and events together in one neat line. Her hunger for words is a hunger that has never been filled.

HARDWORKING - If Robyn works for something, she will do it hard. She will work hard for money. She will toil just to get taller and skinnier. She will cram just to get tomorrow's tests perfect. If you will check her piggy bank, it is full. It contains her hard earnings from Grade one till now. It is her, who usually works well and hard with effort, in group works. Industrious, she works away wordlessly (almost) at her crochet or thesis. She will be thinking hard and then work hard at her essay. After doing her assignment, she will inspect it every word, and if there are flaws, she will correct them. And if she gets an A+, it is not because she had the smartest kid in the class do it for her. It is because she has toiled and labored for it.

TIMID - Nervous, Robyn is the type of girl who stands, stares and bites her nails. If you'll touch her hand, it will be cold. Robyn is nervous and she gets irritated easily. Timid, if you're her groupmate from a project and it has been a success due to her, if you will congratulate her, she will blush, and say it was teamwork. In parties, she stands out, as the one who doesn't say anything. She'll be seen chattering away to her own friends. In her own mind, she will think, and try to understand everything. She fills her head with concerns for her grades, for the Jews who died in the Holocaust. She will try to think what good she can do. She prefers to stick to her old friends and keep them. It will be hard trying to make friends with her, because she is shy and she's been like that from kinder. It's not really hard to keep her talking, still.

TOUGH - Robyn is that girl. She'll do anything to survive and feed her family. So she relies on everything she has to get through. She's been through a lot, learned a lot and she relies on them to put to use. She knows how to use a weapon, knows it takes a lot to feed your family and survive and she won't take any crap from anybody. Unless it's something she pretty much can't stand up to. She doesn't want others to see how insecure she is and she wants others to admire her for it.

Robyn was the unexpected offspring of Felicia Marks and Kaden Jenners. The couple was seventeen when Felicia got pregnant and both of them were shocked to learn the whole truth. It had been a year since the two had been lovers. They had grown up together and they liked each other a lot. But the pregnancy - all of it was unplanned. To fool others, the two patched up a wedding, got married and months later, they told their relatives that Felicia was pregnant. So when the baby was born, they didn't have any problems. They named the baby Robyn and later, they had another kid who was named Moses.

The next years that followed were not bad. Kaden got work as a coal miner. His health suffered, but he tried to get through it. At home, Felicia taught her kids how to read and write and to do household chores. The times when Kaden was home were joyous ones. He would teach his children to hunt and use weapons. Use things wisely, he would tell his children. But Robyn was stubborn - she wanted to hunt for her family. Even if they were happy, their family was quite poor, their clothes mostly being hand-me-downs and dead giveaways. They were hungry most of the time, and little Robyn wanted to help. The year she became eight, she started to hunt for her family secretly. Daily she hunts and practices and now, she's anxious if she might get picked to participate in the Games.
