Ryuu Tatami District 5

Ryuu is large and muscular. He is tall and well-built, and looks very tough. He has blond hair and brown eyes. His appearance creates an intimidating atmosphere, and sometimes even looks hostile. His attitude toward work and life keeps a strong and determined look on his face. He is always smiling or singing, but don't tell anyone that! (6' 6", 210 lbs)
Ryuu's facial features show a soft tan, and his blond hair casts a glow on his face. He winks often, as if showing some expression of a prankster. But his kind heart replaces that thought.
Ryuu wears a bandanna on his head, not to look tough of course, but to absorb the sweat from all his work. Okay, also to look tough.

Ryuu's appearance may seem intimidating or even hostile, but he is very kind. He is protective of his friends and family, and will never let anyone down.
He loves to work with the animals; always very gentle and kind.
Ryuu has a hidden talent of singing, as he sings the calves and piglets to sleep. But he hides his love of it, considering it a distraction to his work. The only person who knows of his joy in singing is his younger sister, Suki, who loves to hear her older brother sing.
Ryuu's attitude is important, as it has kept him and the family going more than once. One time, four years ago, one of his best friends was reaped. Then, in the next week, his father was injured by an ox, leaving his father with a broken leg. Ryuu helped his father stay positive, and worked to keep his emotions under control. Through his dedication, his father recovered quickly. His friend in the games died by a spear blow, but will never be forgotten in Ryuu's memories. Ryuu promises that his siblings will never have to participate in the games, because he will volunteer. But his years are growing shorter to be reaped, and he can't keep his promise forever.

Ryuu grew up as oldest of four. He has two one-year-younger twin brothers, who look up to him. His younger sister Suki also respects him and supports him.
Two years ago, his mother, who was kind and loving, fell ill and died. Later, his father also became sick. Ryuu led the family, working harder than ever, and managed to keep Suki and one of his brothers from collecting tesserae. After hard work and a long year, his father finally recovered, taking position as head of the house once again. But Ryuu's constant effort pushed him to achieve success.
Ryuu lived a hard life to begin with, but now his courage has brought him to succeed. His bravery is like that of a dragon. (Ryuu means dragon in Japanese.)
