Zanthos District 9

Zanthos is fairly average in height, at 5'8. He is medium weight. Zanthos has dark black hair that is very unkempt. His build is very muscular, yet lean. Zanthos's eyes are brown, so dark that they appear to be black in most lighting. He commonly wears military boots, second hand jeans, and a black shirt.

Zanthos is very reserved, although caring. Despite his great strength, he avoids conflicts. When faced with adversaries, he takes the high road. Zanthos's peers view him as strange. He speaks very little, but profoundly. They are somewhat intimidated by him. Many of the girls at school seem to want him as their mate, purely for his hunting skills. However, he does not care for girls and refrains from relationships. This is due to his guilt over sleeping with his best friend's partner.

Zanthos was born to the greatest hunter of the district: Mazer. Mazer died in a tragic accident right after Zanthos's birth. Zanthos now lives with his mother, Liya, and supports the household by hunting. Zanthos strives to carry on his father's legacy, working constantly to prove himself. At 16, he thinks himself as one of the best hunters of the district. He has very few friends, his only true friend being Trunks. Trunks has been with him since Zanthos was 12, when both went on an illegal hunt for extra food. Both boys faced down a wolf in an epic battle. Trunks saved Zanthos from a potentially fatal blow. This especially impressed Zanthos, seeing as Trunks was 2 years his junior. Trunks views Zanthos as his teacher, and Zanthos looks out for Trunks like a son. Trunk's girlfriend, Elle, had a one time affair with Zanthos. Zanthos was torn with guilt and swore himself off of women. Trunks has no knowledge of this. Zanthos is very short with Elle, who constantly flings himself at him.
