Appearance:

A-little-past-the-shoulder length red-brown hair; brown, almond eyes that she gives searing red color-contacts during shows; a small, somewhat flat nose; and perfect teeth surrounded by average lips make up her heart-shaped face. Her skin is naturally pale: it isn't like she goes out much. Her body is sleek, contoured, and toned from her athletic performances. A small swirl tattoo graces her upper left arm.

Personality:

To her acquaintances, Jolin is bubbly, a little airheaded, and the life of the party. To her family and co-workers she has known her whole life, she is passionate about her work, but still fun and feisty. However, these are just facets of a personality she sometimes feels she doesn't know herself. Because of her life on the road, she hasn't ever had a relationship past her family, however desperately she wants one.
As a circus performer from birth, she is an incredibly gifted acrobat, being skilled in all types of rope-walking, contortion, gymnastics, and others (including some very impressive juggling). Furthermore, her mother (as a very experienced fire-breather) has given her knowledge and training, making her a basic fire-breather, at the very least. Her father, as an intelligent, educated scientist and inventor, home-schooled his daughter in sciences, languages, and social studies.

History:

Jolin has been in the circus since her 6th birthday. Her mother, Ashe--there's actually a very interesting back-story behind that name, was the unexpected daughter of an acrobat and a lion-tamer. She also became a circus performer early in her life. During a three-week stay in District 6, she met a younger aspiring inventor, Jolin's future father, Dacian. They were maried before the circus left. They stayed in District 6 until they became owners of the family circus after Ashe's parents died, when they then had their daughter. Her brother, Zell, took after their grandfather in his profession. The has been traveling ever since, with the only longer stays taken in District 6 to celebrate her parents anniversary.
