Well I'm incredibly bored today, and I can't think of anything else to post, so here's an old poem of mine that I wrote about a year and a half ago. I really don't think it's that good considering I was too lazy to even make it rhyme, but I submitted it in my county writing fair and it won third place, so it must have some sort of potential goodness in it! You can comment on it or give me suggestions, ideas, blah blah blah. Anywho, here it is!-
Here
There's a place
I've been searching for
That led me on a path full of choices, opportunities, and risks
And as the years passed by
There have been times when I could face anything
Times when I just knew I was close
And times when my heart was full of hope and faith
There have been times when I thought I found it, but didn't
Times when I lost my way in darkness
And times when I felt hopeless and defeated
But what I finally found out
Was that the place I'd been looking for
For so long, was you right here in front of me
I was just caught up with all the wrong things
And I didn't look at the things that truly mattered
All I could see was that place that was just out of reach
Now I know love is all
My heart has ever longed for
And throughout all the tears, pain, and loss I endured,
You were right there beside me, sharing it all
And I would do it all over again if it meant being here with you
You are the one who got me here
And surrounded by your love and understanding,
I'll stay here with you
Right here, I'm finally
Here
