Age: 15
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 1
Appearance:
Halo has light blonde hair that extends just past her shoulders, and bright blue eyes that seem to pierce right into your soul when she looks at you. She's a rather tiny girl, standing at five feet and one inch tall, and weighing only 103 pounds. But don't let that fool you. She can hold her own in a battle. She is what you would call a career, even if she doesn't look the part.Personality:
Her skin is very pale, looking as though she never gets any sun. It gives her a rather snowy, innocent look, some would say. She has a slightly rounded face with baby cheeks, all adding to her look of innocence.
Halo is a very reserved girl, preferring to keep to herself and her group of friends. She can be outgoing, if it serves to her benefit, and if you are lucky enough to be close to her, she is a fiercely loyal friend. Some say she can be cunning, but she doesn't think so. Halo believes that she usually just ends up in the right place at the right time, and figures things out from there. However, she is quite fast on her feet and knows how to survive.History:
Some people may say she is too cold for their liking, but that's just because she doesn't allow herself to get attached to people. Knowing she could be selected at any time to go into the arena keeps her from getting too close to people. The less people you know, the less people are hurt by your death. That's her theory, anyway. She does find some pleasure in flirting and being seductive with boys, but none of it ever goes anywhere. Halo is all talk when it comes to things of that nature.
One flaw halo sees in herself is the fact that she has no remorse for anything she does. This could come in handy if she is picked in the reaping, but in her normal home life, it serves as somewhat of a problem. She tends to hurt people unintentionally, and never apologizes because she really doesn't feel bad for it. Another flaw she has is that she trusts no one. Some would say that's not really a flaw at all, but when you don't trust even your parents, it ends up being an issue. But how could you trust anyone in the world, knowing you just might be killed before you even reach adulthood.
Halo was born in district 1 to Thadius and Maelane Sheldon, two people working in a luxury clothing store that provided goods to the capitol. She was raised up by these two people, her parents, to be a tribute. Nothing would bring them greater honor. They loved Halo, yes, but they were always pushing her to train harder and get better at the art of killing. And she, being their only child, was their only chance to raise a victor. In her eyes, however, it's the biggest burden a child could bear. Growing up knowing all your parents wanted for you was to be thrown into an arena where you will kill other children your age, some younger, is something Halo thinks no one should ever have to bear.Codeword: Muttations
Since she was three years old, Halo has been trained in the art of sword weilding and archery. She had a fair hand in knife throwing, but gave that up around age five to focus on the other two talents her parents thought would be best suited to her if she went into the arena. Ever since then, she has been working at those two talents. When she turned 12, Halo actually felt a bit of excitement at the prospect of being called to the stage, but that hasn't happened yet.
With each passing reaping, Halo grows more and more anxious at the thought of being tossed into the arena to fight and probably die. The excitement of it has since worn off, but she knows that there is a high chance she will probably be called sooner or later. After all, Halo Glimmer Sheldon is a career tribute. A girl raised to be in the hunger games, and careers usually find their way into the arena eventually....
