Micah District 11

Micah is an average height of 5'6. He weighs in at somewhere near 150. Mic has a well built body with a big muscular chest from using the farming equipment and lifting bales of hay. The boys tan exposed skin is normally covered in sweat from his hard, time consuming work in his district. Numerous bruises and cuts cover the boy, he doesn’t take notice to them anymore because he is used to the pain.

Micah’s stoic face is smooth except for where he has shaved his side burns and mustache that are starting to show. He has acne in several places but the worst of it is cover by his medium length brown hair that just reaches his eyebrows. His clear gleaming brown eyes are childish and bags are forming under them from lack of sleep. His teeth aren’t perfect but have no major flaws. When the boy occasionally replaces his hateful smirk with a smile his teeth are shown to be clean and taken care of. All in all, Micah is a well built rather dashing boy.

Micah is humble but he talks to everyone most of the time. He has friends but is so busy he doesn’t always have time for them. Micah despises the Capitol as a lot of people do, like everyone else he says nothing. In public Micah is polite and talkative yes, but in private among friends Micah goes from pessimistic so optimistic and it switches everyday. Micah dislikes arrogant people and is very observant.

Girls would explain Micah as a guy who “Wears his heart on his sleeve.” He is open to talking about emotions if you are his friend. Micah is smooth talking and sweet with people he doesn’t dislike. Micah craves a relationship, but doesn’t have anyone he really wants a relationship with. All though Micah is open about his feeling and people sometimes mark him as weak, weak is something he is not. He is strong in body and mind. In school, when he gets to go, he is a grade ahead and he is at the top of his class. On top of book smarts he is naturally smart on the streets.

To go with all the good traits he also had some bad traits. He often doesn’t believe in himself and, well lets face it he worries a lot. He had 3 little brothers and 2 younger sisters. He is worried for there safety. Another reason to worry is, the Hunger Games. Deep down he knows he has a greater chance than everyone else. He took tessarae and against his advice so did all his siblings. He knows if any of them get chosen he will take their place. The worry often gives him nightmares than contribute to his sleepless nights.

Micah was an only child for two and a half years. Two and a half years he hasn’t the slightest memory of. Micah loves his sibling but it just stresses him out. Though Micah doesn’t remember District Eleven had an attempted up rise days before his birth. Half the town was set up in flames and many were killed. From then on no citizens were pitied. Peace Makers were tough on them all. Micah was a happy child he laughed and played without a care for the world. His parents both worked in the fields all day so he was left in a day care where he made most of his friends.

At the age of seven Micah began working. He worked in the orchards climbing trees to pick fruit. He worked 5 hours a day. From 4:00 when school got out to 9:00 then he would go home and collapse from the hard work. After a few months of this the muscle started to come in. When it was obvious he was stronger he was moved his job changed. He was taught how to use heavy tools he could hardly manage to move. His hours were increased he worked until 10:30 now. The work exhausted him; He began losing the ability to sleep. He had developed insomnia.

His Insomnia never went away. It only got worse, what little sleep he could get was full of nightmares. The Hunger Games began to seem so real now that he had became twelve and attended his first Reaping. His best friend was picked, he was only twelve, he didn’t stand a chance he died.

When he was thirteen he was picked, he was scared and helpless. Luckily his old friend was supposed to die of sickness any week so he volunteered and Micah was safe. The boy died in the Arena stabbed in the heart. Since then Micah’s expression had darkened. He wanted revenge on the Capitol for the unfairness of it all. He knew he couldn’t win, but he wanted revenge he went about his job as usual biting his time until he could go to the Hunger Games and get his revenge.
