Appearance:
I'm five feet, seven inches tall, according to my last measurement, and rather slender. Being from District 2, home of doctors and lots of studying, I haven't developed much of a tan, but at least I don't look like I've lived in a hole for the past couple of years. Light freckles dot across my nose, and my eyebrows are constantly trimmed to perfection (its sort of a weird obsession of mine...)Personality:
My hair is long, cut just above my chest, straight, and a light blonde color. It's usually either hanging straight down, or it's tied up in a loose ponytail. According to my big-haired, fake faced aunt, my eyes are 'the color of sapphires. Now let me pinch those cheeks of yours!' (okay, she doesn't say that last part, but she might as well since she does it everytime she visits). I tend to wear t-shirts and jeans a lot, though my friends tend to dress fancier because of their wealth. Hey, I go for comfort, not class.
If you asked my friends about my personality, they'd all come up with the same answer: serious and sarcastic. But that's why they're my friends; they were the only ones that would actually say that to my face, rather than whisper and giggle about it behind my back like the snobs that make up half of the girls at school. And, honestly, I agree with them. I don't smile much, and I don't tend to joke around with people that aren't in my inner circle. I tend not to trust people so easily, since I'd watched so many Hunger Games in my lifetime, watched so many people betray one another. So I figured that if it can happen in the arena, why not in District 2?History:
It's really not my fault that I'm so serious. I grew up around doctors and lawyers (my parents both being the latter), and my older brother had bored me to tears while practicing to become a lawyer with me. And the sarcastic humor? That would be from listening to my father regularly argue with other doctors about which remedy worked best on toddlers with the chicken pox, or about what method for curing the flu is modern enough. If you think this is bad, you wouldn't last a day with my sister.
Despite what you've read above (and despite what my peers have told you), I can actually be a nice person (shocker, isn't it?). I'm the neighborhood's first call when they need a babysitter, and I volunteer regularly at the retirement home (okay, so that last one was a lie. But the first is mostly true if they don't call to ask for my sister). But don't think that I'm some horrible person that laughs at others' misfortunes and spits on toddlers, because I'm not. I'm just not into that sappy kindness and giggling that girls my age tend to like.
Let's see, where to begin? I was born on July seventh, sixteen years ago, to doctors Pax and Lulla Curt. I'm the youngest of three kids: Chip, at nineteen, being the oldest, and Cree being the middle child at seventeen. Only Chip has inherited my father's dark brown hair and matching eyes, while Cree and I are younger versions of my mother with blonde hair and blue eyes. Quite the gene pool, right?Codeword: muttations
Being from District 2, most kids are almost driven into careers as lawyers, doctors, or something else that requires a lot of brainpower and hours of studying. Thankfully, my parents aren't like that, but they've mentioned more than once about their desires for our success. So, in a way, they are driving us down the hard-working career path, but just more subtley than I've seen come from others' parents. Its not like I get bad grades or anything, its just that, as I've probably mentioned before, studying bores me to tears. Call me lazy, fine, but its not my fault.
Being from one of the more wealthy districts, I've been through training sessions for the Hunger Games. And, I hate to admit it, but I kind of enjoy the physical form of hard work; lifting weights, running miles, target practice, you name it. The work has improved my endurance, and has even allowed me to lift more than the few boys that don't train for the Games. But don't ever think that I actually want to be reaped. I'd watched way too many of my neighbors, acquaintances, and even classmates die for the sick pleasure of the people of Panem to wish for that.

Though I'd named Nella's family, I'm not going to be playing any of them at the moment, since I'd just joined, and one character is enough.
