Age: 16
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 3
Appearance:
Inessa has a over all pale complexion about her. Her red hair which was once so vivid is now more of a burnt orange. Her bright brown eyes have dulled and become glossy. Her skin has lost its tone with time. You can tell she is a factory worker even before you notice the scars.Personality:
Her small hands and arms are marred with scars of various sizes from machinery accidents. She is well built and average hight but maintains a slender build because her job requires her to move in and out of machines and small places. She keeps her hair cut short and usually wears long sleeved shirts and jeans. Some people find this a bit strange considering how hot it can get in the factory but Inessa prefers hiding her scars over physical comfort.
Inessa is a quiet girl, darting in and out of the machines in silence, rarely speaking unless spoken to. She is passive and bashful but when it comes to her work she is a professional. Her nimble fingers, nervous gate and quiet ways have earned her the nick name mouse among the other workers who don't know her personally. Inessa doesn't particularly enjoy this name but she deals with it.History:
However, Despite her outward appearance and prominent character traits she is remarkably warm and kind. She will buy food for beggars on street corners but never say a word to them. Just a soft smile to their thank you as she turns and leaves. She knows those beggars are people just like her and although she doesn't have much she cant bear to see them go hungry. Not while she has money in her pocket and there is bread in the store across the street.
All in all shes the kind who quietly skates through life, giving what she has and asking for nothing in return. She is selfless and sweet yet quiet and unassuming. She knows that some day she will be rewarded, not by god or some obscure afterlife but by her own consciousness. When she grows old and lays down on her death bed she will be able to look back on her life with that familiar quiet smile and know she died a good woman. That's all she wants from life, its the one dream she has and she wont let it go.
Both of Inessa's parents were factory workers. As a young girl Inessa skipped school, preferring instead to run about the streets and watch the people go about their work, back then she was clever, energetic and somewhat impish. That all got forced out of her pretty quick once she went to work, a few stupid mistakes and painful scars tend to have that effect. She had one brother and one sister. Her brother was much older then her and died in a factory accident, its an unpleasant but it happens. At the time Inessa was only two or three so she hardly remembers him any way. As far as shes concerned she never even had one. Although her parents scold her for this sentiment its relatively true. Hes dead and Inessa has no desire or need to care about dead people.Codeword: muttations
She does, however, care enormously about her living family. She was taught the values of hard work and morality by her parents and Inessa passes that on to her younger sister. Both of them work in the factory together and put their name into the reaping extra times to bring home more food. The extra bread on the table is worth the risk, the whole family has agreed this. Between the four of them they always manage to make enough money to scrape by.
Her life is uneventful and as a general rule tends to be almost as bland as the district she lives in. The only notable change that has recently occurred is a decline in her health. People say its the factory air getting to her but theres not much she can do about that so she continues to go through her days plagued by a perpetual headache and occasional coughing fits.
