Personality:
Ean has brown hair that has a red glow in the sun, and is generally found in black pants and shirt. His shoes- or boots, rather- are brown, worn, and somewhat torn around the shins. His skin is tanned with gray eyes, which have orange, green, and blue thrown in around the pupils, outlines, and speckled around the mass. He is Caucasian, with heavy bags under his eyes, making him look darker then he truly is.
To add to this dark appearance, his hair is sweated down by days spent in a forge. While only 13 he has the appearance of a high school student, though around halfway through his 'Seventh' year in school, exclusion to Kindergarten. Has the build of anyone developing(teenaged), muscles hidden underneath his thin exterior.
Back on physical topics, he has bird eyes, big and almost slanted, and his nose blends easily into the rest of his 'unforgettable' appearance. His hands are callused, to say the least, and his arms have become more immune to burning in the sun. Though, under intense heat, he's as vulnerable as a rabbit in the summer.
An easily distinguishable trait about Ean is his brains. Unlike many District 7 workers, he relies on his smarts and creativity over his hammer and other essentials in 7. Through this he has gotten a few extra materials for his personal use, and brought in extra food for his grandfather. A few less noticeable ones are how he focuses on the eyes when talking to someone. Many call him creepy when he does this.History:
Because of his 'stare down' tactic, it's not often a friend comes along. When one does, though, Ean's life is instantly a shield if they face danger. Due to this, it is easy to manipulate him in situations such as the Hunger Games. Luckily he has gone one year without being called.
If you manage to catch him in a peaceful, calmed state, he is pleasant to be around. Though, other then that, the least that can be said is he's a good listener, and can have positive effects on good plans. In his worst mood, a decent piece of art comes off the forge.
Lumber. That's all that flowed through District 7, Lumber. No blades, no arrows, nothing artfully made besides the occasional traveling staff. The pathetic, useless, staff. Perhaps it would be useful if he were in his late thirties, but as a thirteen year old? Meh. Useless. In fact, the only use it had ever brought him was that it brought his parents together. And where were they now? His father had attempted to work for two other men so they could rest, and ended up over exerting himself and dieing. His mother was half mental, and the other half was constantly in tears. So his grandfather stepped in, taking Ean in. Sense the old man's wife had passed, he had been lonely anyway.Codeword: Muttations
Around the age of eight, Ean began to mess with his grandfather's old hammer, and managed to create a broken leg out of the kitchen table. After that he was banned from being near anything relatively dangerous.
This rule was broken at the age of eleven, when they needed someone to cart around the axes and saws for the Lumber workers. Someone who was bored anyway- a kid. Ean was left to volunteer, along with his first friend sense his parent's death, Crow. Crow was about two years older then Ean, fifteen, and had lasted three years without being called to the games. He didn't need to be, though, because the young man was accused of stealing an axe from the job and beheaded the same week.
Ean, angered, and again closed up inside a ball of rage, retreated to a small room in his home, only coming out to find a book out of the few at the School's library, and School itself. He had believed Crow had been accused sense it happened, but that changed one day as he left to retrieve a new book.
"...And today we bring proof!" Came an Official's voice. Ean glanced, and saw a picture of Crow, his mother's shivering body, and an Axe with Crow's name clearly carved on the handle. Seeing this Ean slowly backed away, breaking into a run, and completely withdrew of District 7 with an excuse to school and the games.
Now, on his thirteenth year in life, he's been drawn back out by a sudden yearning to get stronger. To accept Death more easily then before, and most importantly, to avenge his Father and Crow.
'None of it's any use,' He thought, withdrawing from his memories, 'if I can't legally oppose them...'
