Alex Chromewell [District 8] -Done-

Alex is skinny, short, and pale despite all the sun he gets, but he is also decently muscular and built for running. He has large blue-grey eyes with flecks of other shades. His hair is light brown and fairly long, but it is nearly always naturally neat. Even though he is clearly male and has the muscles to prove he is not weak, Alex is very feminine in appearance. He has an innocent glow and not many people take him very seriously because of it.

Alex also has a beautiful deep voice that is great for singing. His skin is void of freckles, but he bruises easily because it is so fair. He's pretty simple and dresses in whatever he can find that day, but he always has a bit of scruff even though he shaves regularly. When he's angry or upset, Alex's eyes get slightly watery and red around the edges. If he's excited or extremely happy, the skin around his lips crinkles and the grey fades slightly out of his eyes. Alex has his sensitive skin to thank for the appearance flaws though. He wrinkles extremely easily so even if he looks slightly feminine and small, he also has a sort of scar to his youth. The rest of his body is scarred as well from the work in the fields, and there's unsightly patches of abused skin on different parts of his body.

Personality:

Felix-or Alex-is a complex person with layers of personality. He loves the simple pleasures in life and grasps at every opportunity to enjoy them without being too outgoing. He doesn't have to try hard to get people to like him because he's extremely charming and funny in his own way. Alex is far from perfect though. He likes to show off and even though he's not fond of jumping into the spotlight on his own, if he's already in it, he'll do anything to stay the center of attention. He likes to stay on everyone's good side so he's a known liar if he needs to be.

Alex's pet peeve is when people don't do their part and laze about. He's big about working hard and hates when others don't pull their load. He secretely loves to sing and some of his favorite things are random/sentimental ones like morning jogs, pictures in clouds, and warm, sugary foods. His only real passionate dislike is animals.

He's particularly good at running and knife throwing, although it doesn't do him much good in District 8. He can also sing and dance so he's a form of entertainment to his friends and family after long days of work. He can cook fairly well and has good fashion sense, but he's bogus at writing anything down well or constructing something. He doesn't back down from any challenge, however, and is a very fast learner.

History:

Felix Alexander Chromewell was born in District 8 and has never left it, but his mother, Fawn, grew up in District 1 where she inherited her pale, flawless skin. He was raised as an only child because his mother nearly died while giving birth to him, and no one wanted to risk an another accident. He never saw his mother's side of the family because they hate both Alex and his father, Rigel.

As a child, Alex was extremely lonely, so he automatically became attached to the wildlife in his district. Especially a little kitten his father found for him when he was coming home from cotton picking. He named her Meggi and took care of her when he wasn't at school. She was the most precious thing to his family aside from each other.

When Alex was ten, he took Meggi out to play with him after school and they went for a run. He was so energetic and she had such small legs that he was soon outrunning her. In the long grass of district 8, Meggi and her light brown fur were easily lost. Before Alex new it, he was tripping over her and crushing her into the ground. She died instantly.

The impact of her death was never lost on Alex. It was his first intentional lie when he told his parents that Meggi had run away to keep them from hating him. He became obsessed with outward appearance, but also less outgoing. Not to mention the deep irrational fear of animals that he developed.

I just got into The Hunger Games, so I'm a newbie there, but I'm not new to roleplaying so I can't wait to start! I'm sure everyone here is uber nice and I'm really sorry my first character (therefore my first impression) is kind of sloppy. Especially the lame history! But I hope Alex is ok because I'm already kind of attached to him. Thanks
