Age: 13
Gender: Female
District/Area: District 9
Appearance:
Grace is a reasonably tall girl for her age at a modest 5 foot, 5 inches. She is very skinny, like others of her age, from lack of food. She has long, flowing brown hair that is the same shade as her eyes. She is quite tan, and that probably has to do with spending time in the forest hunting with her boyfriend, Jay Everwing, which is short for Jason. When looking at her, you may notice that her hands are muddy. This is because she spends a lot of time collecting plants for her family to eat.Personality:
Most of the time, she wears jeans and a jacket made of fine leather that her father made for her after a bet he won. She wears little to no jewelry because she has little taste for it, and her family does not have the money to buy anything that expensive. Her most favorite outfit, which is only used on days of great importance such as Reaping Day, is comprised of a long, blue dress that compliments her hair well.
Grace shows great maturity for a girl of thirteen. She is very mature in her own way. Grace always has a logical way to settle a dispute and is always willing to put in her “two cents.” She is one of the smartest girls in all of District Nine. She always has her hand raised in class, and knows of all the answers. Grace learns by reading about stuff and then having her father quiz her on information that she should know. She is not very learned in animals and the wild, but throughout the last three years, she has been accepting guidance from Jay on that aspect and has become quite good at it.History:
She is constantly helping someone out, and is always willing to help someone on homework or through some kind of emotional struggle. She does not lose her temper often, but can on occasions in which the Capitol is involved. The one thing that makes Grace Robinson angrier than she ever is is the Capitol. She once said that, "if citizens want to volunteer to fight to the death against themselves, they are condemning themselves, and that's okay, but making OTHER people do that and condemning them to death, that's just insane. The whole Capitol is just made up of a bunch of cowards." The Capitol, of course, knows nothing of this, and that is how it should stay. She doesn’t really doesn’t know what she is talking about, but it quite a blabber-mouth and says almost anything her father says. Her father does not like the Capitol because when he was four, his father was reaped and died during the Hunger Games. He has despised the Capitol ever since, and obviously, passed it onto his children. For this reason, she and Jay are so close to each other.
She knows little about weapons, and if in the Hunger Games, she would prefer to have a bag of food and water than any weapon at the start of the Games. But if she was forced to have one, she would like something more light weight, like some sort of knife. She would do this because she does not like the idea of killing one, but would hope that she could get away with a shy and weak attitude and let the others kill one another off.
Grace was born on May 15. Her mother and father are still living and she has one brother named Charles, who is six years old. Her father works out in a field so she only sees him early in the morning or late at night. Her mother takes care of Charles and keeps the house in order. Her relationship with Charles is loving. He is still very young and is not able to understand much about the outside world, and Grace is fine with that. He is always willing to play games with her and they have a lot of fun. Her relationship with her mother is kind of murky. They do not spend much time together, but Mother always gives her a big hug when she walks home from school and gives her a kiss when she brings in a rabbit or squirrel for dinner. Her dad is not around often so they talk little. But when he is home, they take turns quizzing each other on stuff. Her father is also very smart when it comes to education. But still, her father shows confidence in his young one. When she was 11, just after she met Jay and started working with knives, her father bet that she was a better shot with a knife than another dad’s son. She won the bet and her father received a large amount of money, which he spent to buy leather so he could make Grace a leather jacket to hunt with.Codeword: odair
When Grace was ten years old, she met a young boy named Jason. Jason (Jay) was also ten years old and was very kind. They immediately became good friends and are inseparable. She spends most of her time at school, wandering the streets, in the forest, or with Jay. She has learned many a things since she met Jay. As smart as she was with school stuff, she was not even close as smart when it came to weapons, hunting, gathering, or anything to do with the outside world. Sometimes, Jay would take her into the forest with him and they would hunt and gather together. He has taught her how to collect plants and how to fire an arrow. Over the last three years, she has become quite a good person with knives, and sometimes could beat even Jay in target practice with a throwing knife.
