Cassie’s hair curls drastically toward the bottom of her hair. Her bangs slant from the part in her hair to her left ear. It can usually be described as a dark brown color, but in the light a few red strands can be seen. Cassie typically wears it in a high pony tail, with a small flower tucked behind her ear or a ribbon holding it up. Her eyes look glazed over, but a hint of deep blue still lingers... 'cause she's blind. They're just the right balance of size and shape, being slightly round. She has extremely long, dark eyelashes.

Cassie lacks pretty much any muscle strength. She's strictly a vegetarian, so she’s rather thin because she doesn’t get the nutrients needed to keep up her strength. She's about 5’2” and 90 lbs. Cassie spends most of her time outside, so she has a slight tan. She typically dresses in the casual t-shirt and jeans. She can’t dress in loose clothing or jewlery because she can’t see where it could get caught. (Nor can she afford any). She typically doesn’t wear shoes either, so she can feel vibrations around her, but if she has to she’ll wear a pair of tennis shoes.

Cassie doesn't typically talk much, but she does enjoy singing and isn't half bad at it. Being raised by an old lady, she doesn't spend much time socializing with people her age, but she does spend alot of time in the garden growing herbs and flowers. She's also not fond of strangers, because she can't see them or judge who could be a threat to her. Generally she just stays away from people altogether.

Cassie also lacks Self-Confidence, since nobody has ever been around to tell her how she looks. She also is dead set against harming other people, unless it's only in self-defense. She usually uses words before violence though. Another reason why she's a healer and wants to become a full doctor.

Cassie puts alot of trust into the people close to her, and betrayal would absolutely break her. She's always in doubt about who she is, so she wants her friends (what little she has) to tell her who she is. She accepts their word with no questions, just like she accepts orders. She doesn't have the courage to stand up to people and question them, anyways.

Cassie also has heightened senses, such as her hearing and sensitivity. She can feel vibrations in the ground, which is why she doesn't wear shoes. She's good at distingushing herbs and berries by scent.

Cassie starts out with the classic sob story. With her being blind, her parents didn't want her, nor could they care for her. They dropped her off at the healer's house when she was two years old, and left behind a carved wooden locket with their pictures. The old healer took her in and raised her as her own child, since she had none. Cassie was seperated from the rest of the children at school, because of her disability. She spent most of her time healing the sick and raising her own garden.

When Cassie was fourteen, the old woman she lived with left the house to fetch some herbs from the market. Cassie was left at the house for hours alone, and so she decided to venture down to the square and find the old woman. Despite the title of 'blind', she had made her way down to the square several times before with the old woman, and she learned to map out the basics of the square very well. She did trip upon loose stones and cracks in the ground, though.

When she got to the square, she began to call out for the old woman. The only reply was moaning from one of the alleyways. When she followed the source of the sound, she found the old woman, recently whipped for black market affairs. Cassie could feel a wet liquid that she could only assume was blood, so she attempted to drag her out into the center of the square.

From there, a few men helped her carry the old woman back to their house. Cassie tried her best to clean the wound and dress it, but she made a fatal mistake. An infection spread through the woman's body and she died not long after.

Cassie still tries to care for the few people who come through her door asking for help. She's had to step up a bit and care for herself more often, even if it means participating in the black market.
