Appearance:

Reid is buff from the countless hours of chopping down trees for his district. He looks like he's just solid muscle around his arms, but his lower body is just normal. He satnds a 6'2" and weighs an even 210. He's got a nice farmer's tan as well.
Reid's eyes are a deep sea blue that looks as if he's alway judging you. One eye no longer works properly because of a stray branch accident. His hair is a dark brown. A scar runs down his back but you'll most likely never see it.

Personality:

Reid keeps to himself as long as he can. This works since he's in the woods most of the time. This also hurts his social life but it doesn't bother him too much. He'd just like to be able to ask a girl out every now and then.
He's very much a pacifist. He cannot stand to see anyone in pain. Never ask him to help in first aid. He won't faint at the site of blood but it does get him woosy.
If you need someone to help you look intimidating ask Reid. He looks big and scary but he tries to help everyone resolve their problems without conflict. He would be a great politician if he ever opened his mouth.

History:

Reid is the middle child of three. Poor mistreated middle child (don't use this in critique). He was always ganged up on by his brothers which explains the love of solitude. If the brothers all had something to do that day guess who took a back seat in importance.
Reid attractd the crew chief's interest a the begining. It seemed he was born with an axe in his hand. Reid is on the way to becoming junior crew chief within a few years. He doesn't like making decisions so this is a conflict within him.
His mother and father have been there for him when in desperate need but usually he was left with his grandma. This created a very close bond between the two and crushed Reid when she died. Yet another reason for his search of solitude. His scar on the back was from his father on a drunk night. It's been a strained relationship since.

Okay. You'll need to add some more description + flaws and such. Let me give you guidelines so you can help yourself along.

Appearance;

-- give me more about his face. how many teeth does he have? is his nose crooked? go more into his hair; is it oily? rough? dry? remember to add flaws as well as features: he's human after all, and humans aren't perfect
-- having such heavy arms would come at a price. is he slower? does he get tired easily? what about his hands, are they rough from all that axe handling? maybe his shoulders are too wide for clothing sometimes
-- for his lower body, tell me. what exactly is 'normal'? each person has a different body build, go into more detail. is one leg bigger than the other? has he broken bones before? what about his hips?
-- clothing is important too. what does he wear?

Personality;
He seems a bit Gary-Stuish in personality (that's the female version of Mary-Sues, where explanations can be found here . Look at his personality for a moment. He's silent but helpful. Pacifist, great reasoner. That sounds a bit unrealistic, doesn't it?

--try and add a negative trait or two. does he get jealous easily? is he obsessive?
-- add some justification. why does he try and help people resolve things? is it because he didn't manage to in his past?

History;

-- um, sorry, but I am going to use in in critique. I'll accept that he's mistreated if you tell me why. simply because he's the 'middle child' isn't good enough, and sounds like you're trying to inject needless angst into his history to make it more dramatic.
-- why were his brothers better than him? could tey do a skill their parents coveted that he couldn't?
-- he must've spent long hours if he attracted the chief's attention - they don't just watch anybody. did he have practice before hand?
-- why is he left with his grandma? do his parents not have time for him like his brothers? what are their jobs; maybe it's because they're so busy that they don't have any time.
-- how did she die, and go further into how it impacted him.
-- how did the fight start? did he provoke the father? surely he couldn't have just been standing there when WHAM, bottle to the back.

Change things up, and I'll accept him!
