The Anthem — Day 5

With a alarmingly sudden burst of music, the ink dark sky above the Arena bursts into color, the seal of the Capitol arrogantly displayed for all tributes to see, should they bother to look up. The Anthem of Panem seems to take longer than it ever has before, as if it is building up momentum slowly. That doesn't stop it from lording itself over you, with its harsh melodies that make it very, very clear that the Capitol is better than you. That's what they're aiming for.

The song finally finishes, and the seal is replaced by the faces of the dead tributes:

Maia Grayson, District 2
Winona Kirby, District 4

You check your math again. Two more dead brings the remaining number of tributes down to seven, including yourself. Only six others still have to die if you are to survive.
