chapter two: from their view
Nova's height tops out at 5'6'', her weight being 108 pounds. She was never able to keep her weight up, always falling into the underweight category. She's very thin, and she tends to appear to be sick almost all the time. This is because of her pale skin and gaunt face. Dark bags hang under her eyes that seem to stare off constantly. She appears to be so exhausted that sleep is impossible. Her face is pale and smooth, a few freckles dotting their way across her cheeks. Thin and defined, her features are very prominent. Her eyes are colored a sky blue. Small flecks of grey and gold accompany the blue, adding complexity and depth. Her nose is thin and short, her mouth small and her lips thick. Her ears are often hidden behind her brown hair that often cascades around her head loose, or is tied back messily.
Her torso is thin too, accentuating her teenage curves that are slightly large than most would suspect because of her body size. Her arms are thin, practically no muscle pushing against the skin. Her hands are small too, her fingers long and her nails smooth. Her legs are thin, often covered by her tight clothing, ending in small feet that are pressed flat against the ground. Her skin is pale white, yet smooth, practically no impurities visible, other than her freckles.
Nova's clothing style choice is unique. She often wears tight pants that accentuate her curves, loose t-shirts, or her work-issued lab coat. No matter what, the colors are either really bright or extremely dull. It varies on her mood. Her shoes are black with white accenting, ending a bit above the ankle. She wears many types of accessories, usually multiple types of bracelets and a few necklaces. The small make up that her family can afford is smothered onto her face to bring out her eyes and features.
chapter three: from her view
The last time I checked, I was 5'6'' and weighing around 110 pounds. That's not too bad. I just have a high metabolism. Also, apparently I look sick all the time, but those who say that are just jealous. My face is pale and smooth, and I think I have some freckles. I sometimes wish I could be tanned like some of the other girls who get to work outside. But I'm sure I make pale look amazing. You can really see my facial features because I'm underweight just so perfect. My eyes are like a soft blue. They also have gold and silver flecks throughout them. I've got a small nose and a small mouth. My lips are nice and thick and juicy. Perfect for kissing all the boys that want to get in my pants. My hair tends to be covering my small ears, whether it be loose or tied back.
My body is thin, accenting my large curves for the boys. My arms are thin, barely any fat showing. I've got small hands too with smaller fingers. But good things come in small packages, baby. My nails are nice and smooth though. My thin legs are often covered by tight clothing that shows off my butt, ending in my cute feet that show next to no arc. I have really pale skin which is smooth to the touch. And there are no impurities either. Obviously.
My choice in clothing is amazing. I often wear tighter pants that show off my curves, various kinds of shirts, or my lab coat, usually on the boring job. I have some sweet shoes that are pretty awesome. I wears many types of accessories too. I just love bracelets and necklaces and I have so much. I also love makeup. So, when we can afford it, it's covering my face to add a sensual look.
chapter four: the way she acts
Staying true to the ones she loves is the main thing that Nova sticks with. Whether it be a friend or a family member, Nova will always make sure to be there for them when times are rough. She doesn't tend to hold grudges though. Sometimes, she can be a little too clingy with people. Her friend Galaxy is a prime example. What began as a friendship grew to something else in Nova's mind because she couldn't let go of the one person who didn't let go of her. She tries to be nice to generally everybody, obviously having difficulty thanks to her sins. Each of the following sins act as personalities for her. That's how she classifies them.
Sex fuels this girl's soul. If there's something she will always want, it will be sex. Although she can't control it, she often feels attracted to anything and everything, never being able to actually put her feelings into play. It's rare for her to actually feel an emotional feeling because of the ecstasy that often fills her nights from any of her encounters. When she doesn't get her needs satisfied, she can often be a little dramatic and possibly angry.
Self-obsession is one of those sides. While she tries to think that she is able to control it [because she thinks she is oh so perfect], she actually isn't and it just shows more. Contradicting itself with her envious thoughts sometimes, her pride has some benefits because it helps her seem like a confident person, even if she truly isn't. It sometimes makes her into a snob, often thinking that she is perfection while others aren't and that only makes her be disliked more. She often believes that what others do isn't important unless she has a part in it. This is the sin she tries to control the most because she feels as if it would make Galaxy hate her.
Admit it. At least once in your life, you have felt jealous of something and wanted it badly. For Nova, she can feel it every day and not be able to resist the urge. Her jealousy and envy can become a big part in her daily schedule, often spending days and days trying to get the things she was jealous about. Tying in with her lust, she can often feel more attraction towards the guys who are taken by girls who she feels are better than her. This sin often contradicts with her pride, creating a mental battle that she can rarely control.
This represents her overindulgence in alcohol and drugs. Although she tries to refrain from screwing things up more, she's forced to do it by her gluttony that begs for the use of the things that are commonly found around her District.
chapter five: from the beginning
Jacob Henry Stokes and Karen Marlene Wills were both born into the bustling science life of a District 6 citizen. Living nearby for most of their childhood, Karen and Jacob were never dead ringers for an obvious couple. However, when they turned of age to own their own house, the two fell in love, marrying almost a year after. Then, they gave birth to their first child, Coinneach Stokes. A few years later, Genova-Faye entered the world. Those were the only children that Jacob and Karen had, but they were all they needed. They would prove to be quite a handful.
In the beginning, Coinneach and Genova-Faye were good friends. They were friendly and they didn't seem to mind spending time with each other. It stayed like this for a few years but it was obvious even in the beginning that Coinneach was meant for bigger and better things than his younger sister who only showed that she was beginning on a darker path. She was always rebellious, even from a young age when she disobeyed the rules in her daycare sessions. In school, she would often get into fights, most of the time negative comments fueling her anger. That was when Coinneach and Nova-Faye broke apart.
That was also around the time when Nova's personality disorder, or personalities, started to appear more obvious. She begun with sporadic mood swings, turning into more well developed personalities. Her parents brought her to a brain researcher, attempting to figure out what was going on. They discovered that Nova-Faye had developed multiple personality disorder, each one representing a negative trait under the doctor's opinion.
From the on, Nova-Faye tried to deal with her new disorder. It was tougher, having to face that she wasn't one of the cooler girls by that point because of her awkward transition between moods and opinions, but she faced it anyways. Her relationship with her brother didn't get any better either, probably even worsening when the actual medical label was placed on her. Still, to this day, Nova's goal is to try and fix what she has so that nobody else has to go through the pain that is caused from being around her, whether it be through controlling it or finding some treatment to cure it.
One girl has helped her though. Galaxy Clements, also a citizen of District 6, has been her best friend for as long as Nova can remember. At first, Nova believed that the disorder scared Galaxy, always afraid of asking her how it truly made her feel. But later on, Nova had hoped that Clements got used to it. It would've made sense if she did. Any spare time that Nova has is spent with Galaxy, often hours upon hours of just being together. The one person who she can open up to was right there for her since the beginning. And that made the small emotional side of Nova care for the girl.
