Colette Arrese
I feel the salty waves come in.
I feel them crash against my skin.
And I smile and respire because.
You know they'll never win.

Stop there and let me correct it.
I wanna live a life in a new perspective.
You come along because I love your face.
And I'll admire your expensive tastes.
The skin of Colette is rather pale, with some of the tones changing slightly through it. She tends to burn rather than tan, making districts four warmer climate not something that her genetics are favorable in. The skin tends to be on the drier side, making it prone to flaking. The hair is a dark brown color, cut in a fashion that makes the hair curl into large, swooping ringlets. The color of the hair is a dark brown color, flecked with lighter brown streaks. The hair tends to be messy, going all over the place and never quite staying in orderliness.
Her facial features tend to be on the larger side. Larger cheeks, larger eyes, larger nose. Except for the mouth which is much smaller than the rest of the features. The eyes are dark brown, a color she despises very much. Honestly, the eyes are something she'd rather skip altogether.
Taking everything for granted but we still respect the time
We move along with some new passion knowing everything is fine.
And I would wait and watch the hours fall in a hundred separate lines.
But I regain repose and wonder how I ended up inside.[/size]
Colette could be considered a shy being, someone who dosen't like social contact. She perfers to be home alone, or just alone in general. The solitarity she enjoys so much just gives her a feeling of happiness and calm.
Well, too bad she can't have that. Why? Because part of her own mind seems to torture her. Colette calls the voice "elogio" The voice that comes to the forefront of her mind in social situations. Elogio seems to like to take Colette into these situations and is quite cruel to her, making mocking jokes about her to her, referencing Colette as an "it." Of course, Elogio is quite harsh when it comes to talking to Colette directly, and usually speaks in its harsh tones to her. Elogio seems to like to make Colette squirm, talking to her in a subtle and sarcastic voice that makes Colette go into spasms like fingernails down a chalk board. Usually, Elogio tends to be twisted, not liking to give Colette what she wants. And all Elogio does is sit there smugly, watching Colette suffer.
Elogio is indeed something that Colette's damaged mind has constructed from the darkest corners, coiling up and finally coming to the forefront of her mind, making itself present. Its fairly rare for Elogio to go completley silent to Colette, because she always can feel the lingering precense of the indeed, fake, being that haunts her mind. Colette despises it's precense, and is quite uncomfortable with it haunting her mind. Constantly.
Colette is actually quite arrogant. Sure, she might not like people, but she still flaunts the things she has and brags about them if she pleases. She likes to be at the top of things, flaunting the things she is able to do. Some people think it is due to the career training that people go through; and usually it is. Especially in this case. She was encouraged to know that she was the best through the years; and it finally just set in. Pretty soon, the self confidence that it had turned into a full blown arrogant personality. It made her think almost too highly of herself... well at least when Elogio isn't there.
Colette is also quite the swimmer, the main point of her career training. It was probably the number one thing that would add onto her strength, paddling through the heavy waves. This added to the strength of her arm muscles, so she is able to surge through the waves and such in a quick way. She enjoys swimming through the waves mainly because she is good at it. Floating through the waves is quite a skill for her. Moving through the waves with skill also adds onto some grace that she dosen't have on land.
Colette has a fairly pretty singing voice; something that she takes time on. The voice that she sings with is usually considered to be mezzo saprano; a voice that there are many of, so of course she isn't the best. Yet, her voice does have a few compliments that people will say about it. Some people say it is an overly emotional voice; while others say it is a more complex and elaborate vocal type. While speculation about her vocal type comes, we all will admit that her voice is fairly good.
Colette is quite emotional and sensitive, and is touched by the opinions and feelings of others. She seems to be a little bit intuitive to what other people need, if she does choose to branch out.
An odd trait about Colette is that she has pedophobia, or fear of children. She is quite scared of them, and their ways. She is extremley sickened by their disgusting attempts at things, and in her mind, anybody under the age of ten is immediatley someone she purposefully avoids, and even starts to run away from. She even despises people her age, but she hates children even more, and has morbid thoughts about children coming and killing her in her sleep. She just can't control the fear she has of the children, with their grubby fingers and grabby tendacies.
Colette is rather easy to persuade, someone who goes along with things quickly. She can't resist it, because when people plead; Colette takes sympthathy and immediatley does what the pleading says. Some could say she is a pushover.
And who cares divine intervention.
I wanna be praised from a new perspective.
But leaving now would be a good idea.
So catch me up im getting out of here.
Colette's parents were born in the district, as everyone else was. Colette's Mother was a woman who went by the name of Wisa, the daughter of the districts mayor. This, of course, didn't last long, with Colette's grandfather being overthrown and all that fun stuff, but still. And Colette's father was a career tribute that never exactly got reaped. The two met when they were probably seventeen, and like many other district marriages, they were married in their early twenties.
A few years later, Colette's older sister was born. Era was probably one of the best children for her parents to have, perfectly behaved, and a naturally obedient person. Oh, of course, this was before Colette was born. Era seemed to be one of the more intresting types of people. Well, until her younger brother was born.
Niolos was the middle child of the family, and instantly became the shining jewel of his fathers collection. Era, who was five by this time seemed to be a little bit iffed. She didn't get the amount of attention she needed. And with that, life went on.
Finally, ten years after Era was born, Colette first breathed. That first breath of Colette then sent more envy from Era to her siblings. Niolos seemed to take an instant liking to Colette, and would cart her baby carriage around the house, as long as their Mother knew where they were in the house and they weren't by the stairwell in the two story house they lived in. So, this instant connection finally lasted until Colette turned five and her brother became more intrested in friends than toting his baby sister around everywhere.
Colette went to school, just like any district child. And when her teachers marked on her report cards that "She is bright and very career worthy" Her parents decided to put their child into the training program. Hey, if other people thought she had a chance, why wouldn't she?
But while Colette was being trained by the people for large fees, her sister sat in envy. Why in the hell would she not recieve special career training? She was quite dissapointed in the way her parents then gave more attention to Colette than herself.
That was when Era decided to attempt to kill her younger sister. Of course, Colette was thirteen years old by now, and Era was twenty three. Obviously, even a larger and taller being had more of an advantage in this sitation, even if the thirteen year old was trained by the district as a career tribute. Colette was attacked by her sister and placed into a hospital from serious head trauma.
That was when Elogio started to discuss things to her. And her sanity has never exactly came back.
It's not fair, just let me perfect it.
Don't wanna live a life that was comprehensive.
'Cause seeing clear would be the bad idea.
Now catch me up im getting out of here.
