Azalea Mayson (District Twelve)

Azalea Mayson is a thin, medium hight girl. She has light tan skin which makes her stand out against the rest of the Seam and their olive skin. Even though she is so thin it looks like you could snap her in half, she is very strong and powerful.
Azalea's wavy light brown hair flows all the way down to her lower back and large brown eyes cause jealousy from her two sisters. Azalea is no doubt the most beautiful out of her two sisters but she doesn't care much about her looks. Azalea's thin strong arms and legs are covered in scars from hiding out in the woods.

Named after her mothers favorite flower, Azalea is a quiet reserved girl that keeps to herself. She likes to hide from the world in the woods where she can forget about her troubles and escape her hard life of watching her siblings.
Azalea will do anything to protect her two younger sisters (ages 7 and 9) and will help her friends in any way she can. Azalea will not let anyone push her or her friends around. So while she is reserved and quiet, she will easily make snarky comments when people are mean to her.
Azalea is not a good listener and does what she pleases. She can be very persuasive and doesn't like it when people boss her around. Although she isn't a good listener (at all) she is a very kind person and sometimes has mixed personalities. She never dwells on the past.

When her mother was still alive, Azalea's family was a normal gamily of the Seam. But when Azalea's mother was killed by peace keepers right after her third child's birth, her family fell apart. With a father working in the mines all day, five year old Azalea was forced to take care of her two year old sister and newborn sister. She became the mother of the family.
At nine years old Azalea's father died in a mine accident leaving her all alone to care for her sisters. Azalea and her sisters where adopted by her best friends family where she hunts with her friend for her friends father's butcher business. Azalea refuses the pay and always tells her friends family that the way they pay her by taking care of her and her sisters.
Azalea now lives with her friends family and her sister and doesn't dwell on the fact that she has no real parents. She convinces her sisters that even though their family is messed up and they don't live with their real parents, they are just as happy as any other family in the Seam.
