Taryn Fallstorm, District 6

Taryn is around 5'3", very lithe and small. She has dark red waves of hair that tumble down to the middle of her back. Usually, she pulls it back into a braid. Her eyes are a steely grey, and hide her emotions very well. She has pale skin, and freckles on her arms.

She has small hands and feet, and is quite thin. She has a strange birthmark on her left hip in the shape of a backwards S. Her nose is small, and she has a very feminine looking face.

Though she is not as curvy or busty as other girls, she is pretty, and her size is quite compact. She has a small scar on her right temple thats around two inches long, and one to match on her right arm, except more jagged and noticeable.

Taryn is very brilliant, and quite clever, but she severly lacks social skills, which makes her really awkard to talk to. When approached, she freezes up and stutters, and usually averts the conversation to something scientific or math related. She has had a troubled past, and is very wary of people in general. She is always on her guard and is extremely mistrustful, only trusting her father and her brother Marx.

She only has a few friends, and they are more like acquaintances that legitimate friends, just people to sit with at lunch. She really is a genuinely nice person, but its just getting past the hard exterior, the lack of trust and the extreme awkwardness to get to the soft, mushy inside of Taryn. She is especially bad at takling to boys, unless its about something scientific, and then she sort of rambles on about it, never really getting to the point. She hates to be bested at anything, and she is very determined, hard headed and competitive when it comes to school and her future. She trains very hard at everything she does. She is also good at telling knock-knock jokes.

Her best skill is knife throwing, and she is very stealthy and sneaky. She is absolutely terrible with archery and cant really hunt to save her life. But she can set up traps and things. She has an amazing sense of survival, ever since she has had to take care of herself and Marx basically without her father's help, because he is so busy. She is very strong willed, and doesn't let anyone beat her down.

Taryn lives with her father Jed and her little brother Marx in a small house in District 6. Her father is a skilled medical engineer, working on a new medicine for the Capitol and is rarely home, leaving Taryn to take care of Marx, who is nine, by herself. Taryn aspires to be a great chemist and hopefully go work in the Capitol.

Taryn never really knew her mother; she died in childbirth with Marx. Occasionally, Jed their father will sit down with Taryn and Marx, and tell a story or two about how beautiful their mother, Lyra, was and how she would always brush Taryn's hair and braid it every night. And every night, Jed can be found crying over a picture of her that rests on his night table.

Ever since Lyra died, Taryn immediately began taking care of Marx, especially because he was half blind and hardly ever speaks. Her main goal is to keep him out of the games, because she knows he will never survive in the arena, and she cannot stand to lose another family member. Taryn's weak point is her family, because she's already lost her mother. So, she makes sure that Marx always has food, and that her father does as well.
