New to the Game, Not to the Concept.

Hello, everyone! *takes a bow* Good to meet you.
Around the internet, I'm usually known as Lir, but for the sake of keeping this RPG separate from others I administrate and participate in, I've decided to take on a new identity. It just goes into the ol' spiral notebook labeled "Names I Answer To."
Anyway. A little about me, since it seems appropriate:
IRL, my name is Laura. I'm 23, a newly-wed (well, if you count only being married for 8 months as still 'new'), and an author in the making. I've been involved in RPGs just like The Hunger Games for ten years now. I started administrating my own game, based on the PS2 game "Kingdom Hearts," when I was fourteen. (That game is still going strong, with a number of the original players still involved.)
As a person, I'm usually quiet, sometimes shy, and very accepting. I try to make myself approachable, though I've been told before that sometimes my shyness makes me seem aloof, so I've been working on avoiding that. Not sure if it's working, haha. :)
In regards to my interests, I enjoy a lot of nerdy things. My husband and I met on World of Warcraft, and we still play avidly. I love to read, especially anything related to Renaissance or Medieval history, as well as Greek and Roman civilizations, and religious history and mythology. I also enjoy just a plain old good, well-plotted story, which is how I came to find and love "The Hunger Games." To be honest, I'm a VERY new fan. I only just finished "Mockingjay" yesterday, and it's only been about a week and a half since I picked up the first book, and read it cover to cover in the course of two days.
What I'm looking for here at THG:RPG is an active role-playing community that will challenge me to write more and improve upon the skills I already have. It would be great to meet people who share the same passion for the written word that I have. <3

Welcome to the site, hope you enjoy your stay here and ahh, I'd suggest you drop by the RP Tutoring Board (as per my usual) but the idea of tutoring someone who has what - ten years of experience seems a bit scary c: Also I'd really like to comment on World of Warcraft being more successful at bringing couples together than most of the online dating sites I've heard of - you're the second person I've heard of who has entered a real life relationship with someone they met while playing
